Let’s start with the positive - great location Negatives - damp walls , poor decoration Odd lounge area with loose curtain rail , broken blinds . No complimentary tea/coffee. Bedrooms have stained carpets , tired old beds - divan beds that sunk in the middles, stained linen and towels. Old tired curtains. Separate shower - we didn’t use . Toilets were clean . No complimentary items except toilet roll . Noisy at night as very central next to bars and clubs but didn’t bother us. We were provided when we asked for 2 pairs of ear plugs for 5 people. Could be a lovely place with an upgrade. Definitely not worth the price.

Stayed overnight in the apartment with friends. Worst place I have ever stayed. They must have missed the pictures they dont want you to see. First you are taken through the back way of the pub , through an alley way to a side street. 3 flights stairs with no rail. Not good with someone with limited mobility. Up the stairs walls are damp. Bedroom friend and I shared stained carpets, beds had mattresses that delved in the middle , stained sheets. Living room curtain rail falls off when closing the curtains. Towels stained .

The apartment is a disgrace. Damp on lots of walls. Flaking paint. Old worn carpet and flooring. Most of beds are sunken. Curtain pole fell down when closing curtains once! Uncomfortable living area. We are not fussy travellers but this apartment is a disgrace compared to the pictures advertising it! Towels stained. The only positive is location but that is on a busy corner and noisy. Earplugs provided apparently but had 2 ask and were given 2 pairs for 5 of us! Avoid if you want something half decent!

The room was adequate for our needs, but if there is an event on in the next door night club them you will get very little sleep. The last bit of "music" from there was just after 3am/ The room did provide ear plugs, but there had no effect of the volume of the noise

Worst place we have ever stayed in. Myself and sister had a two night stay and when we arrived our first impression was not very good at all. It looked dark, dirty and drab. We were taken to our room where we had to climb up a number of steep stairs. When we got into our room we weren’t very impressed at all, again it looked dirty, dark and drab. The mattresses on the twin beds were terrible, you could even feel the bed springs. We asked to move rooms and given supposedly an ‘upgraded room’ but this room wasn’t much better. Dirty stains on the carpets, smoke alarm hanging out of the ceiling, radiators only slightly warm, really cold in the rooms, shower not very good and only warm water. Next morning we complained again and again offered another room, but the room was still the same as others, only good thing the mattresses were a bit better. The fire exit stairs which were situated at the back of the hotel up a back street had to be used if you are unable to get in. These were quite steep and made of metal which could be very dangerous and especially when wet. We have complained to Agoda who we booked through and made them aware of all problems but as yet no one from the hotel has answered their emails/calls. We definitely wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone and definitely wouldn’t stay again

Stayed for one night and all I can say is dont stay here! We have just checked out and we are still in shock with the behaviour and aggression of the male staff member. As we tried to check out we went down the stairs to the bar to return the keys. The door to the bar was locked, and my son tried to open it. The male staff member came to door saying aggressively 'what you doing?' My son replied 'its okay mate' and I explained we were trying to check out. After alot of aggressive action from the man he told us we were supposed to go out of another entrance and put the keys in a box. No one had told us this upon check in! He was extremely rude and kept arguing with us as we left the pub. I told him this was not how he should speak to guests and that he should take a breath and calm down. Never have I experienced this at a hotel, ever. The owner of the pub contacted me later in the morning to apologise, the worker had obviously told him to forewarn him as I had told him I would not give a good review.

Wouldn't recommend this place! Old, worn, noisy, dark with close to zero facilities. Not even a hairdrier! Actually, it was established in 191 3 and I guess not much has changed since then. The only pro is its central location.

The only positives were that the bed linen was clean, the room was spacious, and there was a fan to cool down the room. Good location for what I needed and low price. Unfortunately, a lot of negatives due to dirty, mouldy shower, mouldy shower curtain, bedroom curtains hanging off the rail, damp coming through the walls near the windows, very noisy until after 12am due to bar next door blasting out music and having to access and exit room via an external fire escape when the bar downstairs is closed I.e in the morning and after 11:30pm. You do get what you pay for but the dirty mouldy shower is unforgivable so I would not stay again until they have refurbished the showers

Really good place to stay when visiting Leeds or especially if you are visiting the Arena, which is just a short walk away. Host was very amiable and helpful. The room was a bit tired but the bed was really comfortable and there was an array of pillows to pick for your comfort. We’d definitely choose to stay here again. Only thing I would suggest is some sort of net curtains. Our room was a corner room on the first floor with two panoramic windows looking out onto a busy shopping street. We felt a bit like we were in a gold fish bowl for all to see.
