Nothing about this hotel is small or skimped on. Previously the lazy cow pub and steak house the now chapter house hotel is fabulous. Modern but contemporary, comfortable surroundings, hosted by attentive thoughtful professional staff and management. We booked the hotel because it looked lovely on the photos and a quick phone call to the hotel soon determined that room...

This is an authentic hotel with good service and friendly staff. Being old and quaint it is a bit tired around the edges but the location opposite the cathedral makes up for this. Unfortunately there is no parking but if you drop off your bags (parking for a minute on a double yellow line) you will be given vouchers for...

We had visited Salisbury to visit the cathedral and nearby Stonehenge. We made reservations at The Chapter House sight-unseen which resulted in a great travel experience. The buildings making up the inn are as much as 600 years old, but the owners have successfully inorporated modern infrastructure and beautiful professional quality interiors without adversely affecting the historic fabric of the...

Stayed at the Chapter House for 4 nights, wonderful. If you want character the Chapter House has it in abundance uneven floors and stairs.. Room 6 had traditional square wood panelling, a big fireplace with a stone crest over it. The room was spotless and had a modern bathroom. Very good toiletries provided, a well stocked complimentary tea tray, as...

With a South African theme the Chapter House has a distinct personality and distinctly good food and wines. All the food we had was simply excellent from the featherblade of beef to the smokey Joe burger. An excellent winter fruit crumble ( check the fruits in it as it does vary) followed by a coffee that had good flavour in...

Over the last couple of months myself and my boyfriend have stayed and dined at the Chapter House in Salisbury. Although we do not live far we always go back this is because of the fantastic choice in the menu (especially the steaks - definitely recommend), the great hospitality of the staff who can never do enough for you to...

We stayed here overnight. What a quaint old hotel. Climbing the old staircase and entering our room was a real 'wow'. Very clean. Situated right across the road from the gate to the Close of the Cathedral. Had dinner and drink at the restaurant downstairs. Staff at all times helpful and pleasant. Same at breakfast. Parking was £6 in the...

We were all very impressed with the food, the service and the decor at the Chapter House Inn. It could not have been better. We had the slow cooked beef, and it was delicicious. The service was also very quick and efficient. Thank you.

Very enjoyable meal with friends. A welcome lack of piped "musak", so conversation actually possible. Good ambiance, well-cooked and presented food, but I do prefer a real plate rather than a slate. This would be my only criticism.

We came here for lunch, having read the reviews on Tripadvisor. Service was good and the food was good but not as special. as we would have expected after reading the reviews The coffee was very disappointing.
