We stayed 2 nites last May 2013. This B&B is just within walking distance to the shops, just across the beautiful 750 years old Cathedral. Enjoyed the lovely breakfast, especially the poach eggs prepared by Steve. A homely place, clean room , warm friendly host. Hope to visit Salisbury again and will stay in Cathedral View again. Oh,, nice home...

Salisbury is real interesting town, very old and quaint with a fine Cathedral and grounds but the main reason of us going there was to see our very old friends. Cathedral view was built at the latter part of the 17th century. We had a front twin bedded room which overlooks the Cathedral. We thought it would be noisy because...

We stayed just one night at this excellent B&B. This was our last night in the UK before returning home after 5 weeks of fairly constant travel and we were not disappointed. We received a very friendly welcome from Steve and Wenda with Steve showing us to our very comfortable, clean and quiet room, with ensuite, facing the rear of...

My husband and I stayed here during a return visit to England. While we stayed in "fancier" properties in other cities, we were extremely impressed with the cleanliness and care we received at Cathedral View. Thanks to Steve's (our host) helpful suggestions, we were better able to enjoy the sights and culinary delights of the city. He even helped us...

Can't say enough about this great B&B! Steve and Wenda were perfect hosts! Friendly and helpful, offering great sightseeing or restaurant advise (loved The Cloisters!) and lent us umbrellas when it rained. Lovely old home that exudes charm. We had room #4 on the third floor. Quiet, very comfortable and clean. Fresh flowers in the room and fantastic English breakfasts...

Found Cathedral View using TripAdvisor and don't know why it isn't #1. Wenda & Steve make you really feel welcome. They can offer suggestions for things to see & do in the area. They have a great relationship with a number of local restaurants so customers can get deals because they are guests of Cathedral View. Rooms are clean and...

Wenda and Steve have taken care of every little detail, from extra hooks in the bathroom to Wenda's homemade cookies on the tea tray. Breakfasts are cooked to order, with Steve's freshly made fruit salad to accompany them. Steve goes out of his way to provide tourist advice for those who want to go to Stonehenge, view the ancient cathedral,...

The best compliment that I can give is to use Southern(U.S.) terms in the title to describe how wonderfully Steve and Wenda treat their guests. They are so friendly and gracious that they quickly move past being hosts, and become friends. Our room was, of course, exceptional, as were the breakfasts. This year we stayed two days, because we found...

Excellent B&B, couldn't do enough for us. Very good breakfast and Steve gave us lots of advice on walks, the Tower Tour, where to eat in the evening etc. We were upstairs facing away from the cathedral, but also away from the traffic noise. We were given a voucher to park outside, though getting across the busy road sometimes took...

The B&B is indeed located just outside one of the gates to the Cathedral and is also within walking distance to town centre (7-10mins). We stay in room #4 on the top floor, away from the main street, thus little noise. The walking space is little but the en-suite toilet is large, in comparison. The only minus point is the...

Our house was built in 1795 and still has the wooden floor boards and all the charm of an older building. The ensuite bathroom is large as has a full size bath with shower over, toilet with soft closing toilet seat and larger than average wash basin. The bedroom has a superkingsize bed which can be used as a twin...
