Our room had plenty of space and provided the usual tea/coffee-making facilities but also biscuits and two bottles of water. The bed was comfortable and the location quiet. Air conditioning was very useful on one of the warmest night of the year to date. Staff were friendly and breakfast offered a wide range of choice. The hotel is centrally-located with...

The hotel was very welcoming. The staff are all friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. The food on site was very good and equally a fair price. The hotel's situation is great for all the sites, everything seems right on the door Parking is a stones throw away so not too bad. Overall very relaxing stay.

This is a typical Wetherspoons but in a very nice location, sat next to one of the five rivers that run through Salisbury. It is located in the city center so very close to all amenities IE Cathedral,Shops,Market(tue-sat) and Cinema.

wetherspoons are good value on a sunday. The room was good, not very light due to a small window, felt it would be better with a blind instead of a curtain because of this. Our only issue was with the noise from the ajoining room. my bed was next to their bathroom and you could hear the shower through the wall and...

I was very impressed with the hotel. It is above a lively pub and this could be a problem at weekends (I stayed on a Friday night) but I called the hotel and specifically asked for a quiet room and that is exactly what I got (we heard no noise at all once we were in the room and had...

First time we have stayed at a Wetherspoons hotel but on basis of our experience won't be the last. Room was large, clean, with great shower and a very comfortable bed. Also very quiet, although admittedly we stayed on a Sunday night, and great value. No view out of window but not really important as we were out all day...

Had to stay hear after impromptu meeting nearby. After having reservations about a Wetherspoon hotel (who'd of thought eh? Low priced rooms with free alcoholics banging on the door at 9am perhaps?) I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel was in an old building with its quirks but the room had been nicely refurbished and importantly the staff were very helpful...

Dear Matt T, Thank you for your lovely review and 5* rating! We're glad to hear that you found our Hotel building to be quirky and full of character. As our building was constructed in 1874, it does include the features of the era, but we believe our room décor compliments our older building despite being more modern than expected....

My husband and I stayed here for a night whilst visiting family in Salisbury, we had a lovely room very close to reception and with a good sized lift, which was great for us as my husband is in a wheelchair. We had lunch and breakfast in the downstairs bar, I couldn't fault either meal, great selection and the prices...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The site of this Wetherspoon pub has been occupied by an inn since the 15th century. By c1520, it was known as the King's Head, and it retained that name until it was rebuilt in the 1880s. The County Hotel was, itself, a change of name some time during the 1880s or 1890s. Before then, it was the Kings Head and Brewery. We have 33 individual bedrooms. All of our rooms are en suite and include tea- and coffee-making facilities, air conditioning, a hair dryer, TV and free Wi-Fi, also available in the pub. Please be aware that we are a Lloyds No 1 bar so we will be playing music in the pub from Thursday to Saturday nights. Limited quiet rooms are available so please telephone in advance to request one. We have no onsite parking but there is a city centre car park we recommend that is only a 3-5 minute walk away. You are able to stop on the pub entrance to unload your luggage before you go and park. ... more   less
