We came for a Verges Festival in the Cathedral and enjoyed our stay very much. Salisbury is a lovely city with friendly people. It was the first time we have stayed in a Witherspoon hotel and would do so again. We would certainly recommend you to family and friends.

This is a historic, quirky, well located hotel with renovated rooms. The lovely room was a very pleasant surprise. Like most historic hotels in very old medieval city cores, the parking is a pain, but is an easy walk. Can't beat this place for value for money.

Having shied away from the Wetherspoons hotels in the past, a friend booked us a stay in the Spring at Camborne, we were so impressed we needed a room in Salisbury and chose the Kings Head Inn, the rooms were great, the food good and the staff very helpful and friendly

Dear A TripAdvisor Member, Thank you for your fabulous TripAdvisor review and for the 5* rating! It was lovely to meet you and to hear you have been converted to Wetherspoon hotels recently! Wetherspoon has invested a huge amount in this side of the business in recent years and it's great to hear that these efforts do not go unnoticed!...

Salisbury is pretty strapped of high quality options in a medium budget range, but this is best I've stayed in by far. Smart rooms that feel modern and fresh, friendly staff and an excellent location. The rooms are huge. It is a bit of a maze with lots of staircases leading to different rooms but that's part of the charm....

We made a last-minute booking at the King's Head Inn and were lucky to get a room as we wanted accomodation right in the middle of Salisbury. We were allocated room 109, which is in the extension on the upper floor above Barclays bank and facing onto the main road. The rooms are modern in style (contrasting with beautiful old...

Stayed 3 nights for a wedding, 5 min from train station. Standard room small but excellent for somewhere to sleep so no time spent in there. Very clean with nice bathroom. Drinks cheapest in Salisbury, food never tried. Would stay again. Good value.

Check in was fine, and initial impression of rooms good. We were allocated room 104. Big room, big bed and big bathroom. As far as a hotel room goes, it's totally not fit for purpose. We got back to our room after a nice meal out at about 10.30pm and decided to get our heads down as we have an...

The room was really lovely, large, attractively furnished and with an air conditioning unit (it was a hot weekend so very useful). The bathroom was modern and smart, the shower worked really well. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The site of this Wetherspoon pub has been occupied by an inn since the 15th century. By c1520, it was known as the King's Head, and it retained that name until it was rebuilt in the 1880s. The County Hotel was, itself, a change of name some time during the 1880s or 1890s. Before then, it was the Kings Head and Brewery. We have 33 individual bedrooms. All of our rooms are en suite and include tea- and coffee-making facilities, air conditioning, a hair dryer, TV and free Wi-Fi, also available in the pub. Please be aware that we are a Lloyds No 1 bar so we will be playing music in the pub from Thursday to Saturday nights. Limited quiet rooms are available so please telephone in advance to request one. We have no onsite parking but there is a city centre car park we recommend that is only a 3-5 minute walk away. You are able to stop on the pub entrance to unload your luggage before you go and park. ... more   less
