Apart from the location of the hotel, there is nothing that would make me stay here again. Firstly the internet doesn’t work and I had client calls to do through Skype. The whole hotel needs refurbishing, public areas are tired and carpet dirty. The bedrooms are very tired, old furniture, old towels, dirty windows and frames.
We can back from dinner at 10.40 and the bar was shut! Staff told us absolute rubbish about cashing up early, no duty manager around to overrule their decision, we only wanted a nightcap! As residents, do you really want to upset 5 of us and turn away the money for 5 drinks! We are also all event planners, needless to say we would never book a meeting here!
Breakfast was shocking, eggs looked like they’d been cooked the night before, beans in over cooked dry sauce....all of it inedible.
The worst part is the room cost £130!!! For poor quality - don’t stay here!!!!

My room was clean and comfortable if a little tired in the bathroom. Our Receptionist Christina. and Head House Keeper Helen and her Team were very helpful and friendly.
The food in the Blue Riviera Café was very reasonably priced..

I stayed in this hotel several times during October. The hotel is in a great location with beautiful views of the Thames. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and the room had everything you would need with a comfy bed. The restaurant had a very reasonably priced menu and the food was tasty. There was also lots of seating near the windows and outside to enjoy the view.

From the moment we pulled up outside our hearts sunk, a tired looking building, far from the glorious misleading pictures on the website. We walked into the reception with its dirty, threadbare and wrinkled carpets. No one on reception on arrival early eve and no bell, so we waited and waited and eventually we were booked in. We were directed to our room on the second floor of the main building, through a damp smelling corridor and up the narrow flights of stairs and into the room, which was hot and smelt of stale cooking oil and damp. This was an Executive Suite apparently (I would dread to think what delights a Standard Room offers it's unlucky occupants). The windows were streaming with condensation and the glass on the inside was smeared and filthy, topped only by the black mould on every window frame.
The room was dark, with only one inadequate light on the ceiling by the door, a standard lamp with broken tatty shade and 3 side lights (2 of which were not working)! The furniture was damaged and tatty too, a safe was in the wardrobe, unplugged and useless. The sofa bed was again tatty, many years old and with a mattress so thin and shoddy it gave my daughter backache. All the pillows provided were devoid of almost any stuffing, and not fit for use.

The bathroom suffered from mould, all around the window, on the blind and under the sink, just DIRTY and a health hazard! There was no extractor fan so everything became saturated in condensation despite having the window open before and after a shower. We couldn't endure the second night, and left to go home. The receptionist looked shocked when I said we were checking out due to the state of the room, no offer to address the complaints made or offer a refund. If cleanliness, and a good night's sleep is important I highly recommend.... you book the Travelodge to avoid disapointment!!
