We had a very enjoyable 1 night stay at The Royal Adelaide hotel. Ideally situated beside the Long Walk and a 10 minute walk to the Castle. The staff were fabulous and couldn’t do enough for you. We received a warm and friendly welcome from Sarah on reception and Mandy in the bar and restaurant area was great too. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty. Our room was super clean and cosy, the shower was really powerful. The hotel has parking which is a big bonus. Would definitely recommend the hotel which had a nice relaxing and friendly feel.
A little disappointed with this hotel, it appears much grander on the web site. To get to your rooms you have to navigate many narrow corridors and stairs. It’s like a maze. I realise the building is probably very old but on the plus side the decor has been updated. I was given room 26. Avoid if you can as there is no natural daylight. The windows have been covered over to mask the awful view of machines, not sure what they are for, l would think the central heating system, they are also quite noisy. (I may be wrong in that assumption). The room itself is quite nice with a really nice bathroom and plenty of hot water. I did ask if l could be moved to another room but was told l would need to pay an extra £20 a night which l declined, as think l had paid enough already. They also charge £20 a night to park your car. Food menu is quite limited but the quality, quantity and presentation is very good . Breakfast also very good.…
We’ve just returned from a lovely weekend at the Royal Adelaide Hotel. All the staff we came into contact with were friendly and welcoming. They upgraded us to a small King which was very much appreciated. The room was clean and warm. The decor in the hotel is beautiful. Breakfast was delicious. My husband had a Full English and I had the most delicious omelette. The hotel is within walking distance of all the sights. Even though the flight path goes over the hotel, the noise is minimal. The only downfall was how thin the wall was in room 16, I could clearly hear next door chatting, singing & a whole manner of other things. Thank you for a lovely stay.
Excellent stay with my mother for a weekend visit to the Castle and Windsor. The staff were so polite and nothing was too much trouble, the staff really made the visit feel special. The rooms were excellent with all the amenities you need, along with a nice walk in shower in rooms 5 & 6. The bar and restaurant were cosy, and breakfast was 10/10 - the breakfast staff again were amazing. Do not hesitate in staying here. Thanks
Anniversary stay Very good location only 5-10 mins into the town Hotel is lovely to look at outside & interior. Our bedroom was a nice size, lovely comfy bed & pillows. Nice tea/coffee tray with biscuits Bathroom was big but bath was small couldn’t lay down in it. And shower wasn’t huge. When you look closer some fixings need repairing & a freshen up but certainly didn’t spoil our stay. Breakfast was tasty , fab sausage , just a bit odd we only had half of a mushroom ( I love mushrooms!) Staff were friendly. Will definitely return
This is such a lovely hotel , everything is good, the rooms ,breakfast, location are all good and nothing is too much trouble for the lovely staff it makes for a great stay, we’ve been back five times so that speaks for itself Booked again for later this year wouldn’t stay anywhere else !
I stayed here for 2 nights from Mon 23rd Jan as a solo business traveller in a superior room. The location is great, car park a bit of a squeeze to get into from the road but it’s Windsor and space is minimal! Check is was good, the lady was helpful and bubbly. Room was really nice, lovely bed, bathroom with a full bath and separate shower. I was quite concerned before arriving after seeing some of the rooms were quite small but I did notice afterwards that they do advertise the smaller rooms as just that so as not to deceive anyone. My room was a reasonable size and had everything I needed. I went down for dinner that evening and was offered a complimentary drink by a lovely lady who could not have been more helpful. When I asked for wine she knew off the top of her head exactly what rose wines they had, she brought me a menu and advised there were no sea bass that night. My view is that the menu is very limited but I ordered a steak and it was very nice. Breakfast in the morning g was lovely and the same lady served me and was super helpful. The second evening I had a very different experience. I arrived at the car park and no one was answering the buzzer. This is quite difficult as you have to park in the middle of a narrow road until you turn into the car park meaning you are blocking traffic both ways. When I got in to the hotel there was no one in reception and no one in the bar area. I wanted to grab a glass of wine and go upstairs for my final zoom meeting of the day but no one was available so I went straight to my room only to find the key card didn’t work. Back downstairs I went and again there was no one around. After calling out I was greeted by a lady who said she had to go get another lady to help sort my keycard out. Eventually the card is sorted and I rush upstairs to join a meeting I should have been in 10 minutes earlier. After my meeting I went back downstairs to the bar to order food. Again no one was around. After calling out I ordered a glass of Grenache rose wine which I had had the previous evening. The waitress came back to me and asked me if I could show her which wine was the Grenache in the fridge. I showed her which one and sat down only to receive a totally different wine, not sure how it happened but it did. I then asked for a menu and if the sea bass was on that night to which I was told it was. 10 minutes later she came back to me to say it wasn’t in again. This left me stuck, I’m not a burger fan or Mac n cheese fan and there was very little else available so I again went for steak. I took my food upstairs and ate there and left the wine. The following morning the original lady was back for breakfast and normality was resumed. This is a nice hotel but the staff on the 2nd night really let it down, there was never anyone available and they just weren’t as welcoming as the staff working on my first night. I would also change the menu a bit and add a little more choice. I would definitely stay again, in the hope all the staff were up to the same standard as those who were on my first night.…
We stayed for two nights, the staff were really friendly. Especially Sarah, who served us our complimentary drink on arrival & served us at breakfast. Nothing was too much trouble. Rooms were small. However, everything that was required was there. The bathroom was lovely, water hot & fluffy towels. The location was great, within walking distance to Windsor Castle shops & restaurants.
Excellent hotel, first class in all categories, cleanliness, facilities, staff, food and comfort!Only half a mile walk to Windsor town centre, probably in the top three hotels I have visited anywhere, it is definitely a hotel I will use again in future!
We stayed 3 night at the Adelaide over Christmas. It was purely a bedroom as we were visiting daughter who lives locally and there was room at the inn. Receptionist, Sara, was very bubbly and helpful as were all the staff we encountered. Bedroom was very comfortable, great shower. Only ate breakfast there where there was good selection of cooked and dry breakfast options. Had porridge on the last day which could have done with a little longer in the pan but I was feeling a bit under the weather by then with the lurgy. It wasn’t cheap at £171 a night but it was Christmas
