Oakley Court is a quintessential country house. But that's not it... there's more, a lot more. If we said to you a location that's been the setting of many films, with 94 bedrooms, its own polo team and Her Majesty The Queen as a visitor would you believe us? Luckily finding out is easy. Our beautiful location is only a short drive away from London and Heathrow Airport. Whether you're coming for business or pleasure, our rural beauty on the River Thames makes us a real getaway location for those wanting to escape the hectic routine of the city, or just life in general. Our unique history has over time helped to form an exciting character that's distinguished but unspoilt, charming and vibrant. Just kick back and relax, let us pour you a glass of champagne (or two!) - this is your time now, there's no routine here. Cosy, comfortable and luxurious, that's all the important bits you need to know for now. Come and stay, be wined and dined on a set that's created by us and narrated by you to produce an experience that's entirely unique and is yours alone.

It was our tenth anniversary, my wife's favourite film is The Rocky Horror Picture Show and we have a devoted whippet. This place was made for us. On a serious note, the building is beautiful both inside and out, the location is stunning. More importantly the staff were impeccable, managing to be attentive and unobtrusive at the same time. Nothing was too much trouble and the enthusiasm for the place was palpable. We could not have asked for a better stay, thank you.

Recently visited the Oakley Court for a business meeting. The setting and grounds are quite a fairy tale. The main house is fabulous and has quite a long history. Guest rooms were in two wings off the main building and were quite well appointed. Very comfortable bed, nice sitting area with soft chairs, chocolate chip cookie on arrival and more. The conference center chairs were memorable for being uncomfortable. Very difficult to sit on small, hard chair all day. Some additional refreshments would be nice for breaks. It would also be nice to have some natural light in the conference rooms. The grounds are amazing with tents and sitting areas all along the river. Beautiful gardens, grass, trees and walking paths.

I stayed for one night in Oakley Court the night before my Investiture at Windsor Castle. The hotel and its grounds are beautiful and the public rooms are furnished and decorated to a high standard in a sort of neo-British country house style. The attention to detail was what you’d expect in a hotel of this calibre with fresh flowers and house plants throughout the hotel – including in the bathroom, which is not something many hotel bathrooms have these days. Breakfast was a buffet affair although there was an a la carte option available too. Other than breakfast, I didn’t dine in the hotel but the bar area, of an evening, was delightful with a gaggle of guests from around the world. All in all, a fitting place to stay for such a special occasion. Highly recommended.

Hidden gem. Big room. Incredibly friendly staff. Grounds are lovely. The riverside bars and atmosphere is superb. Super relaxed. Food is lovely, menu is great albeit small. Sushi was TOP NOTCH! Sure the gym could be bigger but it works. Love to see an outdoor pool for perfect summer getaways.

My third stay in this hotel over a 15 year period and how it's changed !! For the worse in my opinion . It used to attract families but now it's so over-priced and totally aimed at corporate clients and weddings that it's totally put off the average family . The bar food menu is very limited and ridiculously expensive . Over £42- for a steak , and actually the kids menu is better . Used to be a lovely little 9 hole golf course at the front , a snooker table near the dining room and a goal net in the grounds . All gone because it doesn't suit the new business image and brand focus . The breakfast is very disappointing . Just orange & apple juice . no grapefruit , pineapple , tomato , cranberry juices . no yogurts , no cold meats or cheeses . they offer a full english which actually isn't , as it does not include beans , hash browns , black pudding etc... no fish - no kippers , no herring , no mackeral etc... The holiday inn actually offer more variety. A lovely setting which goes without saying and the staff are pleasant but I don't expect to pay nearly a grand for 2 nights and have to walk around on a wooden bedroom floor . I wont be staying there again and for £450- a night including breakfast , there are hundreds of better value hotels everywhere ! Very disappointing indeed !

Dear andywZ92021PU, Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. Oakley Court has gone through a substantial change over the last few years and as you will see from a number of the comments on Trip Advisor and the like, these changes are welcomed by the guests that stay with us. I am sorry to hear that these changes are not to your liking, but we do not that this will not stop you from returning to Oakley Court in the future. Best wishes.

What an interesting hotel this is. The staff are wonderful, so friendly and helpful. Such a mix the rooms go from country manor, mansion style to garden conservatory & soho tent restaurant. Cons. Very pricey! Also no bathrooms close to the soho tent restaurant so on an evening with torrential rain not so fun if your dressed up. Overall a very nice place & experience

Read a book in the solarium, sip a G&T on the rose terrace, play records in the lounge, nap alongside the Thames -- all is possible here. Oakley Court is a gorgeous manor home transformed into elegant lodging, fine dining, and all things splendid for families, couples, and business travelers. And! It's just a 20-minute ride to Heathrow. On this stay we joined two other couples for the Akira dinner - a 20 course Japanese feast that surpassed all expectations. The quality of the food, the kindness and skill of the staff, and the natural beauty alongside the Thames make this a perfect holiday. Many of the trees are more than 100 years old, and one is purported to be older than 300 years. The gardens are beautiful and edible - you will find the produce on your plate. Book a stay today!
