A great hotel, situated within a short walking distance from the castle and amenities. We received a warm welcome from Grace, who was courteous and friendly. On occasion we needed assistance Grace would endeavour to help. Breakfast service was run smoothly, with a good choice of food, well prepared, clean and again, staff were friendly and professional. In particular a staff member named Trevor, who was polite and customer focused and ensured breakfast service was efficiently managed. The hotel atmosphere was relaxed and our experience of staying at the hotel was made memorable by our interactions with all staff working there. Would visit again.

One of the best hotel stays I’ve had yet! Staff were friendly and went out of their way to help, breakfast was free, plentiful and tasted delicious! I was doing some sightseeing and the hotel is perfectly located. I look forward to my return and will happily recommend this hotel to others.

Very good hotel, great location. Very nice staff, especially Grace who spent a lot of time and effort getting hold of us when we had forgot to turn off the lights of the car (parked in the hotel garage). She really saved us! We asked for separate beds and that was not a problem. Breakfast was really nice.

Good hotel, great location and decent price. Windsor is between Santa Rosa & Healdsburg and this hotel is just off hwy 101. We have stayed here 3 times in the past year and every room was very nice. Some rooms have balconies overlooking a small green zone with flowering trees. The beds are a little high but new mattresses and good linens. The breakfast is fairly good for a buffet and free. The staff has always treated us very well. Lots of nearby wineries, parks. hiking trails and 30 miles to the coast. Usually we eat out in Healdsburg but tried a nearby restaurant, Grata Italian Eatery, the appetizers looked so good we had an entire meal of them and were pleased with them all.

Chose this hotel for its location, was really pleasantly surprised. Staff very welcoming and room really clean, very comfortable beds and lovely walk in shower. Car parking is on site. The breakfast was freshly cooked and cereals and fruits offered were wide ranging. Lovely muffins too. Would definitely use if returned to Windsor.

I stayed here for one night with a friend. The room we were originally given was cold, and so I spoke to Sabim on reception and he couldn’t do enough to help. There were no heaters available, so he moved us to a different room. The room was pleasant with a nice shower. We were given a family room with a double bed and sofa bed. Both beds were comfy. Sabim is a credit to the hotel.

Awful hotel - Please do not book! We stayed at this hotel due to its location to Windsor as we were travelling to Windsor Great Part for a celebration in the evening. Basic hotel as expected from the Holiday Inn Express range but initial check in was okay and room looked clean on arrival. Spent the day in Windsor then at our evening event. Until this point we had not tried the bed as we had no need for it. On returning to the hotel late in the evening, we went to lay on the bed and discovered it was not only like a brick , but there were also springs you could feel through the mattress. We asked for an extra duvet, explaining the issue and tried using this as a mattress topper hoping to then get some sleep, which was sadly unsuccessful. After a horrendous night we went down for breakfast at 9.15am to find that all the bread, rolls and pastries were completely exposed and rock hard as they had been out since before the 7am breakfast start time. The eggs and bacon were also completely empty. When trying to engage with the singular catering lady (who was cleaning tables, preparing food and replenishing), she was obviously over worked and not very customer friendly. She eventually replenished the rolls, eggs and bacon. No-one was on reception during the breakfast serving We spoke to 'Dimitar' on check-out to explain about the impossible nights sleep due to the bed and suggested that the bread, etc could be covered or brought out in stages during the breakfast serving to avoid the issues we experienced. No Manager was apparently available to speak with as we were told 'no Manager is in today'. I asked for the hotel Manager to contact me and was told I would receive a phone call the next day. No phone call was received so I telephoned the hotel three days later and spoke to Dimitar again. He assured me that he had passed my messaged on to the Manager Tomasz and 'he was obviously busy and would contact me at some point'. It is now five days since our stay and no contact has been made and I doubt any ever will. So advice would be to avoid at all cost as there are lots of issues with the hotel and as we have experienced, if you do raise any concerns they simply ignore them. This stay was certainly a very expensive lesson to now avoid this hotel and all other Holiday Inn Express hotels!…

Ok stay: room was clean, bed was nice and staff was friendly. Breakfast was uninspiring and bit boring - lacked variety. Selection at the hotel bar was limited but opening hours were good. Rooms lacked a designated place for luggage. In general the experience was ok but nothing special.
