To come this place is to back in time, the atmosphere, feel the warm of the beautiful place. The rooms are so nice, that you nearly feel at home, just with a touch of luxury, still in the old still, but with all new, also the high tech, without that you see it. Food is pefect, all good, top. Service...

My partner and I stayed for one night on Sunday 5th March which was a treat for my birthday! We pulled up outside, not sure where to park, I went inside to check and a nice young man on reception advised to leave the car outside and they would park it. Felt like a celeb.!! We were shown to our...

My friend and I have just enjoyed an outstanding spa day at The Lygon Arms in Broadway. I have always admired the hotel’s exterior in mellow Cotswold stone. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome. The staff make this hotel. They went out of their way for us. We could help ourselves to tea and coffee....

From the moment you pull up outside the Lygon Arms Hotel, you know you have chosen well. The valet parking is a joy, and the staff that greet you could not be nicer. The Reception staff were fantastic, sorted out a booking problem that was nothing to do with them with no fuss at all, and provided us with outstanding...

We took our two Golden Retrievers for a three night break to see if we would like to return to the hotel next Christmas. A lovely building, great atmosphere. Loved the little snug areas with open fires. The food in the restaurant was delicious. However... the staff feign helpfulness , they really don't want to be bothered and that is quite obvious, more concerned with chatting to each other than attending to guests. They made a big deal about being able accommodating the time...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Imagine a hotel where roaring log-burning open fireplaces hint at its roots dating from the 1300's. Picture a Great Hall Restaurant with a vaulted ceiling and original wood panelling built in the seventeenth century. Visit a hotel that has been coloured by the characters of history. At The Lygon Arms, with its 78 rooms you can stay in the suite that King Charles I once stayed in the night before the Battles of Worcester in 1651. See the carvings of John Travis' name on the arch of the front door, etched into the hotel's history in 1620. An historic hotel in the heart of Broadway with a typically Cotswolds history. Dine in The Great Hall, Barringtons our typical all day dining brasserie or have lunch, a coffee or a Cotswold Gin and Tonic in one of our many lounges. A spa , swimming pool and The Lygon Gardens await you but most importantly the team look forward to welcoming you. . ... more   less
