3 of us arrived and were given a table outside in the sunshine. There was plenty of staff available who were knowledgeable, polite and efficient. The food was freshly cooked, ample and delicious. We could relax and enjoy our meals without worrying about the various measures for health and safety as they had everything worked out perfectly. Cleaning materials were available at strategic points and everybodys' comfort and well-being was taken account of throughout. It's a lovely pub, tucked away from the High street in Broadway which made the experience all the more enjoyable. And the prices were extremely reasonable.

It felt good to be treated so well. Highly recommended.

We are staying in Broadway and eating at different pubs. The food and service here were excellent last night. At the moment most pubs seem to have a restricted menu and very much the same as each other. The Crown and Trumpet had a varied choice of meals from sandwiches, jacket potatoes to main courses all at good value. We had sausages and mash and beef pie with plum gravy and veg. The puff pastry top was crispy , the beef tender and the veg cooked well. Thankfully not so a la dente that they were hard. These veg were lovely and tender. Absolutely superb. For desserts we had Bread and Butter pudding and apple and cinnamon crumble. Two courses £14.95. There are fewer tables inside now to accommodate COVID requirements, so I would suggest booking a table. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. They also do rooms.

Visited here today for lunch with family, dog friendly and quirky place, be warned and check during cold months you are not on the table literally next to the door as it opens, looked like they had squeezed two tables in to accommodate us for our booking, when we asked if we could move as it really was freezing sat there and no one bothered to close it going in or out, we were told nope!! Such a shame as the food was typical pub grub but went cold very quickly. We ate our starters and mains and then huddled in a small area to the side to try and get warmer before dessert, several people sat at the table we had vacated and soon moved. I then visited the toilets to discover not only were they outside (no problem with that) but also freezing cold with no form of heating, come on the place does good passing trade and I assume local trade, surely you can invest in heating and some form of outer doors to keep the customers warmer, then the people who visited once and froze to death would return again. Would call in here again but definitely not in the winter. Did complain but sadly fell on un-interesting ears, but didn’t mind taking the money!!!

Had a nice lunch at the hotel. Nice terrace at the front to eat and drink. Service was friendly and the covid planning was good.
The hotel is just off the tourist trail and prices are much more reasonable than on the main street.

This is a proper pub. It serves proper beer, proper and reasonably priced pub food, gives a truly warm welcome and is authentic and unpretentious in its decor. Having found other pubs in Broadway were only interested in those eating meals and short on space for drinkers, this pub was the perfect tonic. We have been for drinks there the last 2 afternoons and have been warmly welcomed by the bar staff and the manager. We will be going back for dinner tomorrow evening and can’t wait to try out their home made pies! I only wish we had a pub like this near where we live.

We booked this last minute after a disappointing stay elsewhere. So glad we did! The room was beautiful. I don’t think I’ve ever slept in such a comfortable bed! The bathroom was huge and everything was immaculate. You do get a little bit of noise from outside but you have to remember that it’s a summer evening and you’re in a pub - a lovely pub in a lovely village.
We paid extra for breakfast and this was cooked fresh to order and delicious.
The owner introduced himself, what a lovely man to chat to.
Will definitely stay here again.

First visit back to Crown & Trumpet for a while. Even though it’s awkward for landlords during this period, the situation has been excellently dealt with by the landlord Mr Scott. Social distancing is observed by staff and by patrons and names and phone number recorded for folks safety. Bar service is still excellent as is the choice of beers/wines and extra tables have been added to the front of the pub so plenty can enjoy their visit. Will be back in the summer for more. Well done to all involved

We went for Sunday lunch (May 23rd) firstly the drinks i pint of pale ale and a lime and soda. The beer within 5-10 started to separate with a cloudy bottom ummm not impressed but they changed it straight away. One chicken dinner and one beef dinner was ordered. Both came with potatoes on the plate and veg on the side.
The chicken was undercooked and pink in the middle they took the plate back and replaced it with pork and potatoes but of course all the veg was on my plate when they took it away so where did that go?
My other half who is beef lover was not able to consume it as was barely dead never mind cooked in any way so that went back as well. We left not very happy so they knocked the drinks off the menu how generous.
You take your life in your hands eating here don't bother. They have had a year of lockdown to get it right what do you think?

Warm friendly greeting, covid precautions in place, details taken and plenty of cleaning, felt safe. An excellent birthday lunch for my husband, we had no problem in choosing from the slightly reduced menu. The steak filling in the pies was well flavoured, very tender and plenty of it, personally prefer proper pie crust but the contents made up for the flaky top. Good deserts too. We enjoyed our meal so much that we went back for a panini lunch the next day, these were also very good with a lovely fresh salad to go with them. A good selection of real ales and ciders. We will certainly visit again when in the area.

We’ve visited the Crown and Trumpet pub many times each time we visit Broadway (Caravan Club Site) over the last over the last few years. We really liked the food, atmosphere and services received. So this time we were with friends so booked a table via email 5 weeks in advance. 5 people and a dog.
When we arrived, the pub was very quiet, we were welcomed by staff and shown our table. It was right next to the door so every time someone came in or out, we froze. Some people even insisted on holding the door open for several minutes (it felt like) for their friends following them. We asked to move to another of the vacant tables but were told we couldn’t due to have a dog (who was asleep under the table) We’d sat elsewhere previously with a dog and had seen other people with dogs sitting elsewhere earlier that day whilst the rugby was on the TV. We were very disappointed by this.
The food arrived, it was ok, not great like it had been on previous visits. We didn’t stay long. I was disappointed because when we agreed with our friends to stay together at Broadway, I piped up, ‘I know a great little pub for dinner, I’ll book us a table’ turns out, it’s wasn’t so goofed this time. :-(
