I never complain about hotels but this is hotel is a JOKE and not even fit for anything to stay in On arrival found car park empty!!! not good I thought for a Friday night. When eventually found reception (un manned) and a gentleman who watched us walk in who checked us in AFTER showing us 2 rooms which we... More

The owner gets on the booze every night and then can;t be bothered getting up to organise breakfasts for guests. The place needs pulling down before it falls down. Absolute disgrace...not healthy...kitchen was absolutely filthy..unwashed dishes piled up on benches and sink...breakfast makings left out on the table for days on end......bookeeping leaves a lot to be desired....she jots things... Great location by the river with great room views. The staff were friendly and did their best to make feel welcome. My room was clean, comfortable and had no problems but the hotel is seriously in need of a revamp and updating. Otherwise I had a good one night stay.

Read the awful reviews, booked because of the position of the hotel (overlooking the river) and that it was very cheap room (late bookings.com). Wonderful location, excellent value for money, staff very amenable and friendly. We had no problems whatsoever, clean comfortable room, everything worked, water was hot etc. No complaints.

How many things to say Booked long term for work had a phone call three days before we should arrive asking for a debit card to hold the booking Arrived on the Saturday and the place was truly disgusting told the person who showed us around that we would not be staying Was hard to make the person aware as... Oh Dear! This has clearly been a lovely hotel in the not too distant past. To say it is now run down would be kind! It is dirty and quite frankly dangerous. There was a really nice man doing 'everything' but he is fighting a losing battle. However the view was glorious and the cooked breakfast very good (same man... More

Shabby, smelly, skenky and minging..could not BELIEVE it was the same hotel as the pics I'd seen on the website. Booked through laterooms.com thought we had got a bargain looking at the gallery and the restaurant menus!!! What a slap in the face when we walked in! I have NEVER been anywhere where I wouldn't get in the shower because... More

On the plus a great location over looking the river and countryside with easy access to the major roads. Plenty of car parking and easy to find with the satnav. Staffing numbers are low however I was fortunate to be looked after well by Brian who was helpful and presented an excellent evening meal with the turmoil being experienced in... More

After reading the reviews I didn't expect much but considering it was advertised as luxury bridal suite, I thought it might be better than other rooms, we are also not too fussy, how wrong I was! It could have been so much better with very little effort from the hotel. The terrace was littered with leaves and a spider webs,... More

I'm not sure that I can do this review justice it was so terrible, we should have walked out immediately. Access was down a narrow road and you had to weave between fly tipping and broken glass. We checked in and were told that there was no cooked breakfast only continental ( which turned out to be open packets of... More
