Had a front view room on the second floor (Room 12) overlooking the bay. Room clean and spacious as was the bathroom. Not modern decor but the hotel is an old building. I guess because of the age of the building, under the carpets there are floorboards, and floor boards are noisy if over the ceiling. We had a poor... More

Large warm clean room on first floor, with fantastic sea view. Excellent pub grub at very sensible prices and the staff know how to treat a customer. The manager is part of the local Lifeboat Crew and that says a lot to me.

Me and the missus popped in here after going for a long walk along the coast. We had a lovely pint of IPA and a chicken club sandwich whilst watching the sunset through the window. As there aren't many pubs along the promenade I was expecting a pub as lovely as this to be really busy but it wasn't. Friendly... More

The Glengower is an Aberystwyth institution. Everyone loves the place and with good reason. The bar is quite the most pleasant place in the town and with it's convivial atmosphere it's easy to spend an afternoon or evening here enjoying the great food, excellent ales and extensive Whisky selection. However, if you stay the night, you're in for a disappointment.... More

Stayed at the Glengower when seeing the Divine Comedy at the arts centre. Friendly hotel with lovely atmosphere in the bar, excellent sea view room with a bay window, just the job for pre concert drinks. Breakfast superb. Overall a good standard and good value for money.

After a long journey to get here it was lovely to arrive to a room overlooking a beautiful sunset across the bay. The room was more than adequate with two comfy armchairs in the bay window, comfy beds and a decent shower. Parking along the prom was busy but we were able to park to offload and then find a... I've been to The Glengower quite a few times over the last few years and it is still a great place to stay. But the addition of a very popular restaurant meant I didn't feel as comfortable there as I used to. Too busy for my taste - hence the mixed feelings. However, the lively atmosphere would suit others better.... More

The promenade is right outside and a lovely walk awaits after arriving. Be aware though, this is a pub open to after 11, and the walls are thin. If you are a light sleeper, this may not be your best choice. Breakfast was included and very nice. Service was polite and attentive. It's a lovely location
