We arrived early and were treated to tea and biscuits by a very friendly member of staff. Due to stay at the bunkhouse we were "upgraded" to the B&B, which having just walked across Wales was glorious. The owner then gave us a lift into Aberystwyth so we could have a relaxing evening with a pint of beer and fish...

We booked a twin room while enroute to Aberystwyth and found the proprietor very friendly on the phone. We arrived just at dark after a bit of confusion with the signs at the road. We were shown to our room which REAKED of Raid bug spray, so much so that I had a headache and felt sick within an hour....

I initially booked a hostel bed in this place, but because I was the only guest that night I was given a private room instead. The room was very clean and tidy and the service was really nice and friendly. The owner offered me different breakfast choices as well. I would be very happy to stay at this place again.

The best B&B I have ever visited! Plas Dolau is unique, charming and a jewel to be patronized and enjoyed. This grand serenely mature mansion, offers excellent value for money and a multitude of history. Nevertheless; facilities are spotlessly clean. The proprietor is a most sincere and sublime host, who loves and cares for it. Everybody should support it and...

I have to agree with a previous review entitled 'fawlty towers'. My 12 yr old son describes the experience as 'random' and ' a bit spooky'. We stayed in the bunkhouse for one night. The place itself is a beautiful old building in gorgeous surroundings. However it is in desperate need of updating and a good clean - particularly the...

Staying at Y Gelli was a real treat. The welcome was so genuine and nothing was too much trouble. The land lady was extremely helpful and knowledgable with help for our stay in the area. The room was very clean and warm and was a pleasure to stay in. Breakfast lacked nothing, and as one would expect at a B&B...

Would not recomend this place to anyone!! Firstly its and awful place to find not sign posted well at all, on arival the host was rude and unhelpful. The rooms were clean but very dated, the bunk beds are very unstable and the doors didn't lock at all. Toilets had a terrible sewer smell and soiled tissues were left in...

We booked this last minute as we were moving my daughter into her uni room. It's a great spot, close to Aber and the guest house is spotless, with clean towels and bedding every day. Our room was above the kitchen, which was a little noisy during breakfast preparations and the shower was a bit temperamental, nevertheless, a good sized...

Very clean and tidy (we stayed in the guest house). The owner was very helpful and secured our mountain bikes overnight in lockable storage. Comfortable rooms and beds. The breakfast was very, very good with high quality sausages, bacon and free range eggs and as much toast as we could eat! We were even provided with some WD40 for our...
