myself and my husband and small dog stayed in room 26 on 8th november. Dispite the bad reviews on tripadvisor, we had a very enjoyable stay. The room was very clean and spacious, the food good and plentiful and the staff very helpful and pleasant. We were quite concerned about the negative reviews on tripadvisor, but we would certainly recommend this small hotel. parking is a problem but we managed fine. there are other parking places nearby anyway.

The first night we had been put in what hopefully is the worst room in the hotel, incredibly small, right off the main staircase in a high traffic area. the floor was sinking and creaking in many places. The bed was so dead a student wouldn't even put up with it, our having arrived so late there was no longer any staff so we were stuck trying to rest on a lumpy uncooperative mattress. The bathroom was rather dated and in ill repair, I could barely bring myself to use the facilities.

Firstly we arrived and they didn't know we were coming. We were put in a tiny little room. The toilet door wouldn't shut. The carpet was badly stained. The curtains were ripped. Bedside table draw wouldn't close. WHAT A NOISY HOTEL PUT THAT DOWN TO DISRESPECTFUL SELFISH GUESTS. We were ripped off with price and WOULD NOT stay here again.

Do not stay here if you want a decent nights sleep. I can hear every conversation going on in the rooms above and next to my room nearly all night. Shouting, swearing, banging and crashing even someone going to the toilet! Not pleasant. Would definitely not recommend.

My family had to cancel our stay due to COVID self isolation laws. They took the payment and have not returned any emails or phone calls. I have just had to start court proceedings to get the the refund.
