I gave this five stars because the staff were so welcoming and the breakfasts were excellent, including vegetarian full English and best coffee I’ve had in a hotel. The rooms were comfortable and clean with excellent showers, though the carpets had seen better days. It’s a busy bar so we expected some noise but didn’t feel disturbed by it because the double glazing was effective and it seemed quiet by around 11pm anyway. Earplugs were provided but we didn’t need them. I’d book again for the friendly welcome

Spent a weekend at Harry's while visiting the University of Aberystwyth. The staff were friendly and accommodating - even staying up to welcome a late-arriving guest. Stayed in a family room that was a great fit for four people. Really enjoyed the substantial English breakfast! Only complaint was street noise, but that's not the fault of the hotel. Would highly recommend Harry's.

Thought we would have lunch at Harry's though the food was very good as was the table service it all got off to a very bad start. My wife is unable to walk more than twenty paces so when we arrived we were shown to a table close to the entrance by the bar staff and sat waiting for our friends but was approached by a staff member and asked to move tables to the other end of the restaurant with no explanation why. I explained that the wife was not physically able to walk more than a few paces so we were told to remain only to be approached minuets later by a portly guy with a determination not to listen. he gave an explanation that he had a party of six and was going to place a table alongside to accommodate them we moved in the end to a table close by. There was no party of six at our original table just a couple all seemed unnecessary and soured the visit.

It was freshers weekend, there was a comedy festival on in town and the place was buzzing. Everyone at Harry’s was super friendly, the room was clean and comfy and despite how busy the place was all the staff seemed to be able to cope and were really attentive. Good value and will be back.
