Having arrived at the hotel just after midday in order to meet lovely family members for lunch at the super SY23 restaurant in Aberystwyth town, I parked the car in the car park and went into the hotel to advise them that I had arrived and parked my vehicle, but that it would probably be late evening before checking in. Lucy courteously thanked me for advising them and responded that it would not be a problem because reception was open until late and that a night porter would be on duty thereafter. She then telephoned for a taxi which arrived in about ten minutes and took me to the SY23 for £4. The welcome received from Lucy and all her colleagues during my stay was warm and friendly which made the overnight visit a lovely experience. My room was clean, warm and spacious with a most comfortable bed and no traffic noise. There is ample free parking. Breakfast was also very enjoyable with a good choice. I opted for the large cooked with toast and coffee that was very tasty. I appreciate some like very strong coffee, but Lucy was on hand once again and brought me a jug of hot water instantly - problem solved. Whilst I have no complaints, would like to make a couple of minor suggestions which I hasten to add did not detract from the pleasure of my stay. I have often wished to be taller, but never more so than when trying to hang my coat at the Park Lodge. It was only after several leaps that I managed to reach the rail! The second recommendation is to provide more clothes hangers – there was only one in my room. With hindsight that might be a blessing as leaping in a hotel bedroom on my own following a whole afternoon and evening of wining and dining may not be a good idea! Finally, I would like to thank all the staff at the Park Lodge for their courteous and friendly welcome. It was a most enjoyable stay and I recommend the hotel.

Hotel's Favourite
We stayed in the Park Lodge hotel for 2 nights in July 2021. We were really lucky with the weather which was sunny all weekend. We had a room at the back of the hotel, so the view wasn’t so good. However the room was huge and so was the bed. It was clean and fresh and I think they recently had new carpets. All the staff were friendly and hard working. Our stay had breakfast included and the Irish lady worked her socks off and was really pleasant to all the customers. The only issue we had was there was a buzzing in the room at night coming from the electric box, which was irritating. They said they will get this fixed. (Room 28 if you’re going). It is exactly a 23 minute walk to the north parade beach, which wasn’t too bad for us as parking is limited in the town. It also allowed us to walk off our meal and drinks before we got back.

Lovely place to stay for the night all the staff were polite and helpful, room was a good size, very clean and the super king size bed was the best I've slept in, no mirror in the bedroom, 2 windows in the room so plenty of natural light the curtains didn't match though and the clothes rail has been put so high I couldn't reach it to hang anything on. The kettle didn't turn off on it's own (this was mentioned at reception on departure) bit of tweeking and it would be spot on We ate there in the evening the food was good and reasonably priced, bar area is a nice place to sit for a drink or 2 before dinner (which we did) but shame there was no tv so guests could enjoy watching the rugby or football atm, Breakfast was good plenty of choice. Would recommend this hotel to others and would return again. 👏👏 to the staff for making it feel a welcoming place to stay.

Good business hotel with all the things that you want and none of the rubbish that you do not. It was very clean and the room was large and comfortable. The breakfast was generally fine but we were not too impressed by the cooked offerings. We ate in the restaurant on 2 evenings and it was OK but not special.

There is free parking at this hotel which was a bonus. Staff very friendly and helpful. Clean and modern. The food was amazing! The staff in the restaurant do not stop making sure all tables are cleaned and ready for the next diners. We would definitely recommend this hotel and have already booked our second stay.
