Myself and my Son and Daughter visited Aberystwyth and stayed at Gwesty Cymru. This is a very nice hotel on the sea front. It has rooms with a sea view which are wonderful however the rear facing rooms are just as nice. We were rear facing as I had booked at short notice and as we were three my daughter was given a lovely single room which she loved ( she is 17 ). The rooms were excellent and we were given the option not to have clean towels everyday as a saving for the environment. ( If you want clean towels everyday it's no problem of course. ) Some people have commented about no breakfast being available but we found plenty of places to have a breakfast literally a few steps away. (Home Cafe being my favourite.) The hotel has a lovely outdoor seating area with sea views. Overall we had a lovely stay at Gwesty Cymru and Aberystwyth and the surrounding area has alot to offer.

Such a friendly, welcoming place to stay, a great location right on the sea front and the rooms are really first class. We have stayed in the beautifully finished, themed front rooms and watched the sun set over the ocean. We've also stayed in the back rooms while they are smaller they are very well appointed with facilities that pleasantly surprised. The food was also excellent we enjoyed all our meals there. I don't drink so can comment on the bar but the coffee was the real deal. We have relatives in Aber so we will be coming back and we're looking forward to staying in the Qwesty Cymru once again.

Beautiful Victorian property that has been luxuriously updated, rooms are absolutely spotless and gorgeous, and staff extremely friendly and helpful. Had a fantastic and nostalgic stay (having studied at Aber many moons ago). This hotel is such a treat, the platters from the restaurant are amazing, and it was just all around fabulous. Proper coffee in the rooms! The bathroom in the top floor room is incredible. My stay was made perfect by the sound of the sea and a fantastic view. Feeling so rested and refreshed. Thank you Gwesty for a wonderful time I won’t forget. Hope to see you again soon.

I wonder where the people who "meet and melt with a smile" were when we stayed and the "rooms having their own theme" as we saw no staff from check in to leaving when we weren't even asked if everything was OK, the only communication I had was "OK" when I handed over the keys and the only difference between our rooms was a block of colour on the wall. The rooms were small with very little space for luggage. Although a luggage stand was provided (stored in the wardrobe) there wasn't room to stand it. There was a definite knack to flushing the toilet which was very strange and frustrating. The radiator in the bathroom was very close to opening to get into the shower leaving you in danger of burning yourself on the way in and out. Parking is difficult as restricted on the road outside. On the plus side the rooms were clean and the bed comfortable.
