We fancied a proper Sunday dinner so decided to give The Boat Yard a try, what a fab decision it was. The food was absolutely gorgeous, plenty of veg and most of all pipping hot, choice of 3 meats (I was cheeky and asked for a bit of all) half way through eating the waiter asked if we wanted anymore...

We stopped over at the Boatyard Inn for one night with our campervan on Friday night. Found it on a 'pub stop over' site - never having been to Bangor before. We used the pub and pitched up in the car park. The pub was friendly and quiet. The landlord and staff were brilliant - extremely helpful. For the four...

Went here for a Sunday lunch, after seeing the barman running around the place like a headless chicken, which I might say was no fault of his own! We ordered two beef dinner with Yorkshire puddings, after a 55 minute wait we ask were are our meals are. he went through to the kitchen to ask. When he came back...

Today 22 people visited the Boatyard Inn for lunch. The venue was great overlooking the sea. The food was lovely and the staff friendly. It was all a bit of a last minute rush as the landlord wasn't supposed to be opening til tomorrow but we were well catered for and will definitely be returning in the future.

The food was not what I expected - it was fantastic - well presented, hot and perfectly cooked. If I visit Bangor again then I'll definitely be making another visit. They also do rooms here so I'll definitely consider that for a future visit too.

A few of us went here for a night out, starters were great, soup was lovely, and others looked good. Mains were average at best. Steak was unbelievably tough, and it wasn't just mine. Chips were cold, and onion rings were deep fried air. Drinks pretty expensive too.

We visited Bangor after going to Zip World. Glad we passed this pub, friendly staff, food was amazing especially the home cooked chips, chef even came out to see if we had enjoyed our meal. Land lady was very friendly and made us feel very welcoming. Would definitely visit again if I return to Bangor, shame we live in Manchester...

I had sweet potato and red pepper soup as a starter - excellent!! Lasagne, chips and salad. The lasagne was excellent and a generous portion. I didn't have room for a dessert. Good service. Did I say the lasagne was excellent?
