I stayed a couple of nights on business. The rooms were comfortable and clean and the owners were friendly and very helpful. Limited on-site parking but many quiet side roads to park in and the area appeared to be safe. Very good breakfasts were served each morning. If I return to the area I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Lovely room, much more in the way of facilities than I had expected. However, I felt it wasn't quite as clean as I would have liked. The hosts seemed very pleasant but almost didn't seem to be expecting me despite the booking. The breakfast was excellent. My only issue with this was they ask you the night before what time...

Stayed here when the Abergavenny food festival was on Sept 2014.Firstly the carparking was a problem as the car park at rear of property was full of junk and whining dogs.We had no choice but to park in the street ,something I do not like doing in a strange town. The room was ok but did not sleep at all well...

We had a wonderful experience staying here just this weekend and have to say that this guest house is so lovely, the beds are very comfortable, rooms exceptionally clean and tidy, we stayed in the family room which was very spacious, with it's own en-suite. The food was some of the best I've tasted which consisted of a full English...

After staying at Blacklion, I truly believe BnBs are the way to go for those travel weary jet setting globe trotters. The rooms are nice and cosy, clean beds, hot showers, wifi(although signal was weak in room 3). To top it all, the owner was very warm and friendly. What was supposed to be just a night's rest in the...

I stayed here for two nights while in Abergavenny for a business trip. Hazel went out of her way to make sure my stay was comfortable and really went above and beyond providing me with everything I needed for my stay. The room was very clean and comfortable, and breakfast was delicious! I highly recommend this place!

Booked as advertised as 4* the Hosts Mike and Hazel Gray may be four star entertainers but the room rate is overpriced and the noise from the road and them constantly bickering and rowing caused a very uncomfortable stay

“All rooms are wonderful, especially great is the Suite they got there, because it is quite big and nicely made. We also got for one night the chance knowing another room which is very nice because of the wonderful bathroom and bathtube, but this is more convenient to friends or family, not so much convenient for couples.”
