Room 7 - Several Nights stopover. All the basic requirements met OK, including clean comfortable bed, tea/coffee etc. However, it sounds like the room next door must have a Macerator and every time they use the loo you hear it whirring away, quite loudly - even if that happens to be 3 in the morning! Small window (which you will...

4 of us visited the wonderful old kings arms on tuesday 18th april 2017. Not only was the pub visually outstanding but very clean as for the food DELICIOUS, not to be missed if your in the Abergavenny area. Starters were delicious home made Tomato soup,an amazing Duck liver parfait and a whipped welsh goats cheese. Mains were the best...

It doesn't look like much from the outside but the interior of the Kings Arms is breathtaking. Sloping floorboards and old beams in the room, it really feels like you are stepping back in time. We stayed in a deluxe room with a freestanding bath, we paid a fair amount but it was worth it. Located at the top of...

This hotel is a very old building and I appreciate the character etc However please be aware several of the rooms overlook an outside drinking area and the noise if you're in your room is overwhelming The attitude of the staff when it was brought up was completely unacceptable and they are more than happy to accept the noise because...

We think the Kings Arms is a really good choice to stay in Abergavenny town centre. We reserved room 1 called Blorenge, which is south facing and looks out over Tudor Street / Castle Street. It’s a really good size room, especially for a pub with 3 windows in the bedroom and one in the bathroom, although the one in...

Quirky and welcoming. A lovely stay with friendly staff, a cosy bar and tasty breakfast. The room was very comfortable with plenty of tea and coffee. Loved the old building with uneven corridors, fantastic artwork and decoration, all of which made for a relaxing and authentic stay

Had a meal with a group of 20 a few years ago, really impressed so to break a long journey home we booked to stay overnight, and to eat. The staff, without exception were extremely friendly, polite & helpful. Our room, number 9 was equally perfect, once again a quirky building with wonky floors but 21st century comforts. Our compliments to...

I recently stayed at the Kings Arms and can honestly say that I could not fault it. From the moment that we arrived up until the moment we left we were made to feel extremely welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Having seen photos online I was feeling optimisitc about the bedroom and was certainly not disappointed. The room...
