Nice ambience and seating outside, very nice pint of Moretti and buffet was very tasty. Seems quite trendy but a mix of clients, had a laugh chatting with some rather tipsy locals sat outside. Worth a visit.

I have been to this pub many times but 1st time in the restaurant where we had 3 lovely courses for £22.50 and was very surprised at the overall experience. Definitely will go again. My soup was on the cool side but very tasty. I suppose I could have asked to have it warned up, but won't let it stop...

To be fair, we were warned the day before there would be a party going on until about midnight, with doors locked at 12.30. But it was still very noisy at 2am – perhaps because people who had gone to the party didn't want to go to sleep! We left feeling very tired. Staff pleasant; breakfast limited but nice.

We were set up in one huge room, equipped with a bar and the room was very spacious although there were other tables being used by other diners. We pre-ordered our meals which were served promptly at the time we asked for and every family member got the correct order and simultaneously with the other family members. The food was...

We stayed in room number 9 - we didn't have the dogs with us this time, but I will definitely go back and stay again and take them with me. The room was very nice - large en suite bathroom, comfy beds, and very pretty clean and modern decor. The veggie Welsh breakfast was so nice we went back for...

We stayed at the King's Arms for 4 nights and have just returned home. I stay in hotels usually for about six months of the year as I work away. This was without doubt the most lovely and friendly stay I have ever experienced. The whole pub/restaurant/hotel feels like a family run affair, every member of staff that we met...

The food was reasonable but only wish it could have been better especially for the price. The surroundings though are superb and in a beautiful part of Wales. There is so much to do in the area, just probably not at the King's arms.

To round off a long day's drive, we had a room booked at the Kings Arms. On arrival, we stepped back in time into a suite; a long room, with exposed beams, niches, a bathing, seating and sleeping area, at the top of the building. Beautiful. Clean. Comfy. The accommodation was so nice, that after a scout around Abergavenny -...
