I can forgive a shabby place what I cannot forgive is a dirty place.
I paid over the odds for this hotel - supply and demand - I get that it was a busy weekend due to the festival being on.

Much is recorded elsewhere about the shabby state and musty smells of this establishment, so I will not repeat it here. It was noticeable but not off-putting on arrival. The receptionist was pleasant and helpful.

I don't think it would be suitable. There are steps everywhere. While we were there a man with 2 sticks was struggling up the stairs to the restaurant for breakfast. There was no lift or stair lifts that I could see.

he Hotel has it's own off-street car park opposite the Hotel. Some parts of the car park are visible from some of the rooms situated at the front (street-side) of the Hotel. There is no gate to the car park, but it is off-street, and staff are aware of vehicle registrations. I do not know what security arrangements are like with regard to checking on vehicles. People other than residents guests also use the car park.
