The rooms are excellent value for money- very clean, tastefully decorated, and the beds are very firm. The cooked breakfast and the breakfast staff are phenomenal! The staff at reception are extremely helpful, smiley and approachable. We are keen cyclists and the Lodge offers bike storage and a drying room- a personal heated locker to hang any wet gear in....

Stayed here one night following a business trip and thought we would get a sneaky scramble in. I have stayed in the Royal Oak family rooms before but actually preferred the stables part. The room was modern, clean and well presented much like a Premier Inn. There was none of the old character found in the Royal Oak rooms but...

Stayed at the Stables lodge which is the annex wing off the Royal Oak hotel in Betws-y-coed. We were there from 09-12 October 2015 and stayed in a twin room. The check-in process was friendly, speedy and faultless. We were in room 105 which faced out over the back parking lot into the woods above Betws-y-coed. A pleasant backdrop. The...

Just stayed here one night, midweek school holidays. Found rooms to be lovely, well mantained and very clean. Check in was easy, access to rooms secure and the parking permit a bonus. Breakfast in Royal Oak Hotel was good served by friendly waitress. Thank you.

Very disappointed.... we wanted a quiet weekend away for our daughters wedding in the village. On the friday night we were kept awake till 2am by a stag party. On the sunday morning, we were woken at 7am by a very noisy member of staff having a conversation on her mobile in the corridor outside our room.... so loud that...

Stayed at the Stables for a couple of nights. The room was clean and comfortable and the food in the Bistro was very good. However it is advertised as disabled access but as a wheelchair user it was very difficult and impossible with a power chair. Once through into reception and the lift it was fine but unfortunately to get...

We stayed in a Stables Lodge on 16th April. We arrived a few hours early & went to find someone to see if we could park - there was no-one on the desk so I went to the main hotel reception where they kindly gave us a parking permit to put in our window & she told us to come...

We go here for food regularly with friends after walking in the area and have never had a bad meal. I like that you can just turn up in your walking gear and not feel out of place. Dogs are also catered for with plenty of outside eating areas. They even have blankets to wrap around you on the more...
