It was such a lovely B&B. The room was comfortable and clean and just the best nights sleep on a super comfy bed. Mike was super sweet and brought us tea and welsh cakes in the garden after our long walk up Snowdon. Would definitely recommend taking the bus from just around the corner to Pen y Pas. The car...

A very friendly welcome to Betws-y-Coed, with excellent service! Mike and Sarah are lovely hosts, and the breakfast was amazing! The rooms are nice, very clean and well equipped. An excellent location, next to the river and only a few minutes from shops and restaurants. The B&B is also close to some excellent walks that will take you around the...

We picked this Guest house because of its perfect location. It is in the middle of Betws y Coed, the jewel in the crown of Snowdonia. We were greeted in the car park on arrival by Mike and Sarah (the new owners) and were immediately made to feel very welcome. This warm hospitality continued throughout our stay and we felt...

A weekend without the kids for my husband and I and we chose this beautiful guest house to stay for the weekend. We booked room 6 which was at the top of the house and had AMAZING views as you can see from the photos (room 6 is more of a mini suite). The room was beautifully clean, modern, the...

Spent one night here in the suite at the top of the house. Bedroom was very nicely appointed and the bathroom was large and well decorated with a large shower and loads of hot water and good pressure. The breakfast was excellent, locally sourced produced with some choices being home-made. The location next to the river was picturesque and being...

We spent New Year's Eve at Bryn Afon. The room was finished to a high standard, the bed was comfortable and the shower has powerful and hot. We didn't spent much time in the room, but there was plenty of space and we were comfortable. The owners where really friendly and made us feel welcome. Bryn Afon is in an...

The guest house is very well placed for all the amenities in the town. The owners are genuinely lovely people who care for their guests, which shows in the quality of everything through the house....including the delicious Welsh breakfast. I would definitely recommend and will definitely be staying here again.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Bryn Afon is an elegant Victorian house situated on the banks of the river Llugwy. We have spectacular views of the River Llugwy and the 500 year old stone Pont-y-Pair bridge where the salmon leap in late Autumn. With forest walks starting from our doorstep and with some of the finest restaurants in Betws y Coed and North Wales just 1 minute's walk away, this really is the perfect base for touring the Snowdonia National Park (or for staying locally to enjoy the beauty of Betws-y-Coed). We are able to assist guests with a variety of suggestions on places to visit – from gentle strolls to strenuous mountain walks, mountain bike trails, castles, slate mines, steam railways, gardens, lakes etc, to shopping or eating locally or finding the best local cake and coffee shop. Bryn Afon is easily accessible by public transport; Betws-y-Coed train station and the bus 'station' - both connecting to LLandudno Junction. The Snowdonia Sherpa Bus enables you explore the area and we also have parking in our own guest car park, plus a secure shed to lock up bikes. ... more   less
