Easy to reach (on the A5), warm welcome, lovely house, comfortable room, good bed, great sleep, fab breakfast. Perfect place to stay in West Snowdonia. Would struggle to find somewhere as good, so close to Betws y Coed. Will definitely stay again. Many thanks for a great weekend.

Splendid accommodation in an idyllic location. First class presentation and service. Beautiful surroundings, literally right out of the door. Well worth walking down to the Fairy Glen (take change, its coins to enter) and dipping feet in the river (weather depending!). I also walked up behind the house (steep hill) to the ancient burial cavern - a lonely walk through...

Honestly the nicest B&B I have ever stayed in...more like a boutique hotel you would find on Mr & Mrs Smith than your regular B&B. Very tastefully decorated, very comfortable beds and the landlady Gwawr just lovely. Beautiful views too, a very romantic get away.

We stayed at the Pengwern Country House last May. The house itself steeped in history is beautiful and has stunning views overlooking the Lledr Valley . Each room is tastefully decorated, very comfortable and quiet. A great place to rest after a busy day. In the morning you are greeted with a delicious Welsh breakfast. The produce of which is...

What a beautiful house and in an excellent position for touring Snowdonia National Park. Very warm welcome from the landlady Gwawr with great welsh cakes and a pot of tea after your journey which was most gratefully received. Breakfast was also most enjoyable with lot's of strories and places to visit information swapped between guests. We were in one of...

We've just returned from two nights at this beautiful and historically significant property. We had the choice of all 3 rooms but chose to stay in the Richard Gay Somerset room because of its fabulous views down through the valley. The other two rooms are gorgeous too, and larger, and we would happily give them all a try. The guest...

A wonderful welcome awaits from Gwawr at the beautiful house. Views are stunning down the valley and its just a short distance away from the busy Betws-y-Coed. Wonderfully appointed bedrooms, lovely views and a really comfy bed for a great nights sleep. Breakfast most definitely sets you up for the day!! Spacious sitting room to relax and if the sun...

Pengwern is a perfect base for a relaxing break in beautiful Snowdonia. The landlady is very welcoming and full of helpful information about the local area. Rooms are spacious and cosy with the most comfortable snooze-inducing beds. Breakfast is a real home-cooked treat around a large table with the other guests (only three rooms so max. 6). There's also a...

We booked this rather last minute as had a week free and husband who is self employed did not want the hassle of going abroad, also we love walking. The Studio is a small cottage/apartment attached to the owners b&b house, but entirely seperate with its own front door. Two artists lived in it in the nineteenth century (Betws-y-Coed has...

Four of us travelled by road and ( and one by bike!) from Windsor and we both had very spacious and comfortable rooms with modern en suites - all decorated to an excellent standard and nearer a hotel environment rather than B and B. There was a large and comfortable sitting room for guests to use and I am sure...
