Even though I lived near here for many years this was actually the first time I have been to the Coed-Y-Mwstwr Hotel. I took my mother for Easter afternoon tea and couldn't fault it. The food and service were both very good, especially the hot cross buns and the cake selection, all home-made. We will definitely go back.

We decided to hold our wedding at the Coed Y Mwstwr Hotel and right from the very first meeting we knew that we were in safe hands. All the details were taken care of by Jo and Nicola and nothing was ever too much trouble. Absolutely stunning grounds to hold a wedding and the rooms are beautifully decorated. WE had...

Had a great afternoon tea for two, good selection of finger sandwiches and cakes. A special mention for Ceri's (hope that is spelt correctly!) homemade scones served warm with fruit compote and clotted cream. The best scones we have ever tasted and worth re-visiting for those alone! The Italian meringues were also delicious as was everything else if we are...

Stayed here for my sons wedding. We stayed in a newly refurbished large room on top floor of original house. Very well appointed. There has been significant refurbishment to the lounges& the drawing room recently. The grounds are well kept & hotel stands in substantial grounds. The wedding went well with no hitches. Food was excellent on the wedding day...

A nice hotel which is well located in a scenic part of wales. The staff were all pleasant to deal with and we enjoyed attending a wedding function at this hotel. However,on arrival we found we had to be upgraded to another room, as we found the extractor fan in the shower room and one of the taps in the bathroom did...

My wife and I took advantage of the Sparkling Spring incentive at the "Coed", as always the welcome the menu and the accommodation were superb. The hotel reception and main bar area has recently been refurbed and is presented immaculately, we would recommend this venue without hesitation. Thanks to Mel, Ollie, Elliot and all the team at the hotel. See...

I frequently travel to Bridgend, the Coed is always my first choice of hotel. With very good service, comfortable rooms, good food, good location for our business, I would recommend anyone to try it out.

Excellent bed - huge (room5) but some of the small touches need addressing for the price and market this hotel is aiming for. Tea / coffee same as Travel Lodge; shampoo missing from bathroom; TV old; wine and chocolates in room nice touch but nothing to say they were compliamentary - had to ask. Breakfast service shoddy - item missing...

Set in its own grounds away from main roads but very accessible to M4, Bridgend and Cardiff, this is a country house hotel with all the charm of a period home but with a modern take. From our arrival on Friday afternoon the staff were on hand whenever we required anything without being too obtrusive. Rooms were all spotless, could...

Set in a beautiful location with stunning views. On arrival everyone was welcoming and polite, and this continued throughout our weekend break. We were sat alone in the bar for 20 mins just relaxing and were asked by several members of staff if we were okay. All the staff here know exactly what they are doing, nothing was a problem...
