My room was clean and comfortable, though I did find the mattress to be a bit on the thin side. I think I was the only guest at the time, but was trusted alone in the place, as the owners live elsewhere I think. Your invited to the use of the kitchen. The location is ideal for a short walk...

Excellent all round! We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 week stay at Mair's. The B&B is very homely & cosy. Immaculately clean & with a "5" food hygiene rating. Huw is the perfect host & provided great breakfasts for us. Offroad car parking on the premises was very convenient. We can thoroughly recommend this B&B for visitors to the Bridgend area....

We had a family room which was bunk beds& a single with a shower, toilet was in corridor directly opposite. Little noisy with window open but double glazing is very good, maybe some heavier curtains as the street light from main road is slightly higher than houses opposite. Room was extremely clean& very comfortable, tea& coffee replenished every day. Owners&staff...

We were a group of 5 (my husband, brother, sister and our 6 week old son) that stayed last weekend. My brother and sister came along to babysit while we went to see a gig at Swansea Liberty stadium. We consider ourselves very lucky to have found accommodation at Mair's. Our rooms were quaint, clean and adequately sized and the...

Stayed here this weekend for a family wedding, Very good b&b and the welcome from the host Huw was very warming and welcoming. The full breakfast was all local produce which was nice to see. When I visit Bridgend again will stay there again.

We booked 2 rooms for 2 nights, based on the 2 existing reviews. The car park at the rear was full of puddles and primitive and the rear entrance had no light. We had booked one double room and one single both with en-suite. Since it was mid January, it was cold outside, but it was also cold in the...

We needed somewhere to stay to surprise my sister at a special birthday party in Coychurch. We booked in for the one night and had a lovely welcome from Huw. Room was very comfortable and breakfast was excellent. If we didn't have family locally we would normally stay with (my sister), we would certainly use Mair's more often. Kathy and...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
A family run bed and breakfast which was opened by Graham Henry Welsh Rugby Coach in 1999. Bridgend is an industrial and market town. The house has a very friendly and homely atmosphere. Our guests come back time and time again. Being in Bridgend it is very convenient for most of South Wales as it is situated between Swansea and Cardiff, on the main London railway line, just off the M4 motorway, near to the coast, within 40 miles of the Brecon Beacons mountain range, 18 miles from Cardiff, and with such various facilities such as cycle tracks and others too numerous to name. ... more   less
