I never really thought of staying here but wanted to do a bit of camping last weekend. It is a long walk into town but not impossible and certainly not a shabby path to get there. The staff are friendly and facilities not bad, although could do with a bit of a refurb here and there. It felt quite safe,...

We were test driving a car early the following day and we live in Pembrokeshire, so decided to stay in the city for one night. We usually book a hotel, but had been meaning to try this campsite for a while so brought the campervan. Struggled to book a pitch over the phone as it was engaged constantly for a...

We liked this site and they are in the process of renewing the pitches. Each pitch is level with electric, water and grey waste removal. There is a Cafe on site but we did not visit. From the site it is a nice walk along the river taff to the city centre.

I mainly give four stars because of the location. 15 walk from the city centre and in a very scenic, quiet area next to the park and river. Site staff very friendly and helpful. The only negative was the shower block. Only two showers and one was broken, toilet seat missing in one of the cubicles, and pretty dirty and...

Thank you so much for your review mattthekat. I am glad that you enjoyed your stay with us. It is a great location as you say. I have to agree with your comments on the showers. Unfortunately they broke during Easter and their was a delay on the repair on the shower and the missing toilet seat. Why do these...

Very handy for city & park but at £30 a night it's the most expensive site we have ever stayed at! Seemed to be lots of work people staying there & vehicles parked randomly. Toilet block could do with a refurb & 2 of the cubicles were out of paper on my visit. Security is obviously a problem as people...

Thank you so much for your review. We are glad you found the location great for your needs. With a short 15 minute to the City Centre we are ideally located. During your visit, we had the RHS at Bute park and we have a lot of exhibiters on site. They do have vans and we have learnt this year,...

This campsite is set in a beautiful area deceivingly close to Cardiff city centre. To stay there you really don't feel like you are a stones throw from the city centre as the grounds are nice and you are situated close to a river with a pleasant walk into the city centre. The campsite staff and amenities were all good...

We have just spent two nights here. Great location and excellent, friendly staff. Not cheap for a campsite (£31 pn for a motorhome, 2 people and a dog) but by far the cheapest way to stay in Cardiff centre. Easy direct access to City Centre, great parks and river walks. 25 minute stroll to City Centre. Absolutely unbeatable - we...

There is a coded shower block about halfway down the site, which was kept very clean. The showers were really hot and the toilets well stocked with paper. There was no queues that we seen even though the site was full for the bank holiday weekend. We paid for electric hookup which also had a water outlet attached which we...
