Flashy secure car park and a wonderful warm welcome in a beautiful foyer... we expected wonderful things to come with paying approx £368 for a 2 night stay (price without the car parking charges which the final total was £404) When we got to our room...we were hugely disappointed. Small, reasonably clean but not perfect. No dressing table, only 1 chair. Very standard room and what you would expect from lower cheaper budget hotels, but sadly at a higher price. We had a queen size room, so maybe if you paid mega bucks you got better...but sadly for us, can only rate our stay as 👎Advice would be to go somewhere else. Wouldn't use this hotel again due to value for money...as there wasn't any in out experience

Groups stay for the rugby. Aggressive bouncers kicking you out the bar at 11pm. Told we have to leave the premises or go to our room by 11:20, no-where else to go. Staying in executive room, no executive lounge at the moment which wasn’t mentioned at check in. No water, fresh milk or proper glass or cup in the room. Advertised as coffee machine in every room, not the case. The room cost £480 per night. Poor level of service for the cost.

Both Hubby & I have disabilities , getting from the Hotel Cark park ( for which we had to pay £18 for an overnight stay! ) was an absolute nightmare .Had to walk through what looked like a building site & open Heavy gates to get outside , into pouring rain & have a long walk to get to the ramp accessing reception! Room Not ready 1 hour past check-in time ! Executive Room was pleasant enough , although very "stuffy" even with noisy air conditioning on . Very uncomfortable Bed & pillows , didn't get much sleep at all !Did not expect paper cups & wooden sticks to stir drinks , poor selection of refreshments. An absolute shock to find our Kettle was growing green mould inside ! I called reception & it was replaced with a new one immediately . Meals & drinks vastly overpriced. I found eggshell in my Salad . Was offered a bottle of wine as compensation. Step-Daughter paid for the room & Breakfast I would certainly NOT have booked to stay here & will Not return , even if she offers to pay again (Family were visiting from abroad) !

Stayed with work so look for hotels with gym. This one however was closed due to refurbishment (not on website!) mentioned at check in, clearly not interested. I said this should be clearly marked on website. The receptionist said we’ve emailed! Don’t know who but it wander me! Upon reading reviews now, these refurbishments have been going on a while. Very dated room. Room stated as deluxe (far from it) We all know this is a new way to say standard double though. Nothing deluxe about it. Very basic really. Not a good sleep as air con (switched off) noisy and basically on top of the railway line. Breakfast basic at best. Asked how my stay was at check out. Advised not good and was simply told here’s your invoice. This was pre paid anyway through company. Then I asked for my invoice for parking. Got that then couldn’t get into car park as ticket not valid! Bit of a time waste and hassle then ringing for help. Won’t be staying again. Decent location, hard to get to though. Seems to be a stale brand now sadly. Plenty of other hotels nearby.

I stayed in three hotels during my 5 weeks stay and this was by far the most inviting. Friendly staff, the women on the front desk are so lovely and helpful nothing is too much, the shower is incredible, nice and clean all round, gutted the gym wasn’t open but couldn’t be helped. This would be my top place to stay in cardiff for sure. £18 for the carpark for one night however is rather steep maybe revise this to something like £10 a night for guests.
