The title petty much says it all - a comfortable, well appointed Hotel in the city centre. We have stayed several times including weekends and have not been disturbed by the revellers outside. There's a Spoons nearby and it's easily walkable to the train station (and bus station when refurbished). They even provided Creme Eggs for Easter too!

Stayed here midweek for a overnight stay with my boyfriend in the cinema room. Staff were friendly and welcoming and the room itself clean and spacious; the film themed decor was fab - every film geeks dream aha! Definitely lived upto our expectations and we had a lovely night munching on our complimentary popcorn - would return again :-)

I can't fault our stay here this week - great value at this ideal location right in the centre of Cardiff. Really nice room - the Deluxe room with complimentary bottle of wine, loads of space including a sofa, very large TV, desk with free internet/wifi router connection, comfortable king size bed and good bathroom. Staff in Reception and at...

Check in was efficient although the receptionist was not particularly welcoming. However the breakfast and housekeeping staff we met over our 4 night stay were all pleasant and helpful. Our room was clean and a reasonable size. The window was small and high up, which I found gave the room a closed in feeling. If I returned to the hotel...

I was in Cardiff for work recently and stayed in this hotel - in a very central location it is an old hotel, with quirky but lovely interior design - I stay in a lot of "samey" hotels - I really found this refreshing. The staff were lovely, a friendly place. It has lots of ups and downs, stairs everywhere...

The location of this hotel is fantastic as it is right in Cardiff city centre. It is an excellent location if you travel by train as it is located just round the corner from the station. It is really easy to nip in and out to the room during the day as the hotel is so central to the castle...

We visit Cardiff regularly but have never stayed at this hotel, we were very impressed. Booked in advance the price was very low, great location, ideal for city life. Despite being on St Mary's street the noise was minimal. All staff were friendly and courteous, we would definitely return. Beds not the comfiest but for one night, did the job.

Despite the ugly exterior, the inside of the hotel is fantastic, very modern and clean. The room was huge and very nicely decorated. However the staff were rude when we tried to check in earlier than the 3pm rule. Most hotels are flexible about this to an extent but the most flexibility they could give us was 230! And they...

We stopped for two nights as an Easter break. The room was well appointed and modern although it could do with better signage to find it as we wandered around for ages looking for it! We had breakfast for £9 which was ok but we had to wait quite some time for eggs and bacon. The staff on reception were...
