This hotel was functional and clean. Could do with a refresh in the bathroom but everything worked as necessary. We were lucky we had a quiet room away from the road however there were noisy guests outside in the corridors which made the walls feel paper thin. The receptionist was helpful when there was only one extra bed made up instead of two but the problem was resolved quickly. Parking was fine, there were plently of spaces when i arrived at 5pm and the harvester next door was handy and friendly too.
Clean rooms welcoming staff. Right next to the harvester pub. Quiet out of the main Cardiff hustle and bustle. Only small thing is it’s a snug car park and the white lines could do with repainting make it easier to see where you’re parking. All good otherwise
Booked to stay to go to a friend’s birthday party, Great night was had and many drinks flowed. We will be staying again in June as part of our wedding plans with the rooms already booked. Loved the atmosphere that always comes when we stay.
noise all through the night from the pipes. shower pressure was intermittent; tap pressure the same. toilet not flushing correctly. door hinge not working, hence needed assistance to close. dog barking (possibly another room as it was so close). double glazing not good, hence, noise of traffic. only one towel for two people.
Too many people hanging around outside front door smoking. Had to walk through the poisonous cloud to get in. Very intimidating appearance too. Lots of signs around inside to keep noise down. Woken up multiple times between 11pm and 3am by girls squealing and running down corridor Facilities good. Bed comfy Heating adequate Extractor fan in shower barely working. Shower didn't work properly. Random on and off coming out in jets and spurts. Then cut off completely before I finished washing out my conditioner.
The staff were really helpful and incredibly courteous. We had a very nice, comfortable stay. The beds were very comfortable and the tea/coffee facilities were most excellent. The room was incredibly clean too. Thank you!
Me an my kids stayed here for 6 weeks during being homeless with the council, the staff went above a beyond to make our stay as comfortable and nice as possible. I honestly wouldn’t have got through it without their support! also it’s one of the cleanest travel lodges I been too and is very well maintained by the staff members. I would highly recommend staying hear for a warm and friendly welcome.
Anne Marie was so warm and welcoming when I booked into the hotel. Anne Marie was friendly and very knowledgeable of the area and where to get something to eat and places to go. The hotel is in a good location and very quiet and is an ideal place for contractors to stay.
The best Travelodge we have stayed in. All areas were very clean. The room was well presented. On arrival we were met by very friendly and helpful staff, and this was our experience throughout our stay. The communal areas were kept clean at all times. We will certainly use this Travelodge again. I must add that after a bad stay at a previous Travelodge in the Lake District we were dubious about staying at a Travelodge again, but this one exceeded our expectations.
This is an older Travelodge by the bypass with road noise and some more from the car park and Harvester if the window is open. HOWEVER they really try. The welcome and assistance by the young woman on duty was outstanding. The room though small, was spotless and the bathroom although dated had recently had all its sealant replaced. In ths case you can, as my grandmother would have said "Make a silk purse out of a sow's ear!"
