Stayed here over night Friday Really nice Very helpfull receptionist allowed me to check in earlier as my partner was on a course Nice facility spa included no extra charge Room service was nice Close walking distance to shops and bars Pool a tad cold but jacuzzi was lovely Room very comfortable Nice bathroom Well kept Clean Parking underground reasonable £18 24hrs
Paid £85 per person for Christmas dinner and what a complete let down that was. Food was below average. Starters were ok but roast dinner? Roast dinner without roasters? Seriously? All veg was honey roasted daughter can’t eat honey, Yorkshire puddings were raw, meat was dry, gravy was placed in between the meat and the veg never seen such poor planning ever. I asked a server to carry my plate to my table as I use a walking stick and I was struggling he did it but if looks could kill well! So many people I talked to said never coming here again and I’m in complete agreement. Your local pub or carvery would have done 100% better at half the price. Went home and had to feed the children.
This hotel is a must if you are in the area. There is an underground car park which has a lift up into the hotel. The room was fantastic. Spacious. Fantastic views of Cardiff. Food at dinner and breakfast was lovely. The only downside was the coffee in the morning which needs some serious attention. I would recommend this hotel if you are in Cardiff. I will be going again.
The hotel itself is generally clean from the rooms to the reception. However, the Spa facilities and particularly the men’s changing rooms were poor. The showers were leaking and this was evident from mouldy ceiling tiles. The poolside area was also swamped with hoses and the steam room was very grubby. The rooms themselves were clean and the bathrooms were spotless. The rooms could do with a spot of modernisation when it comes to the TV etc. I wouldn’t like to be staying for an extended period of time with the AV facilities. The bar was reasonably priced and the staff were friendly albeit a little slow for a Saturday night. Generally a good hotel let down by its leisure faculties which are in need of a refurb.
Lovely big room, clean . Needs updating in places. Had a problem with tv not working, spoke to reception and it was sorted straight away. Breakfast was lovely, poached eggs to order . Juices nice and cold. Close to Cardiff city centre. Staff cannot do enough for you. Will definitely stay here again.
2nd time we've stayed here. Very convenient for the city centre. Lovely clean room, much larger room than you'd expect. The staff are lovely! The manager and assistant had a great approach and sense of humour. Very welcoming! Will stay again for sure!
From the time we arrived, to our departure, the service was outstanding! Receptionist staff were welcoming and friendly and went over and beyond to ensure that our stay was special. Due it being my partner's birthday, 'special touches' were found in the room including banners and balloons. We have stayed at this hotel on numerous occasions and it has never failed to please. Our room was on the 15th floor and was spotless which is a credit to your housekeeping team. A huge thank you to all of the staff that made our night special including Susie and Daniela on check in, Erikson behind the bar and Kate on reception on our departure. Look forward to our next visit!
It was average, the rooms were okay, the corridors were kind of old. They have a parking space as well, which is why I chose this hotel. But apart from that, I think there are better options. We did not try their breakfast so I can't comment on that.
Brilliant rooms, brilliant staff and brilliant location. Everything you need is at hand and I truly wouldn't want to stay anywhere else when visiting cardiff. Thankyou for a lovely stay, for the appreciation of my visit and for providing a top quality service.
Firstly, after waiting 10 minutes for seemingly the only member of staff to turn up, I was told that the swimming pool was unavailable (even though there were people using it? The staff acted like it had just happened but a passing hotel guest implied this was a frequent thing.) I'd booked for a whole spa day so no, just having the steam room and tiny jacuzzi that was already full wasn't enough. I ended up with just the treatment, which was average. The relaxation room is dark, too dark to read a book, and it's not very quiet, people are constantly passing and the door doesn't shut. The chairs are not very comfortable, and you're staring in the dark at an air con vent. The room's atmosphere comes from a tinny cd player on repeat and a few fake candles. The The salad was ok, but in the completely empty bar it just felt soulless. The staff seemed to vanish constantly and were so disengaged. Every seemed a bit unclean. Also, the package included a voucher for a skincare product which I never got, but I never saw any products for sale, and even then, there would have been no one to buy them from. It all felt cheap instead of an indulge day.…
