We drove down on the Friday evening and were warmly greeted by the host. Our room was cosy and toasty, and all needs were catered for. There is a pub a short walk away, which was perfect! Breakfast was lovely, host very chatty and helpful so I would recommend to anyone who is looking for a place to stay in... More

My daughter and I stayed two nights here and we were both really impressed . The rooms were cosy and clean with lovely little touches like magazines and extra things in the drawer such as a torch and a sewing kit . Margaret was the perfect hostess - so friendly and informative about the area . Lovely cooked breakfast and... More

We stayed here just for one night on our way home from North Wales. I did miss the turning off road and it was a bit of shock to find I had to drive across a level crossing to get to the B&B. However the gates were opened for us on the way in but we had do this oursleves... More

Stayed one night in this b&b for the Cardiff v Leeds game. Sadly my friend decided not to go and so was unsure as to whether I wanted to travel to Cardiff on my own; as things turned out I am so glad I did…... However, my journey down was not without its problems. Just as I was entering onto... More

Once again I had the opportunity to stay at Gelynis, and once again they have not failed to give excellent service in a wonderful location. Nothing is too much for Margaret and she will go out of her way to make sure you have everything you need, including a lovely full breakfast with a variety of choices.

We stayed in this delightful B & B for 5 nights. I would highly recommend this B & B to any one coming to Cardiff. I loved the idea of opening the railway gates to let the car through, I have not done that for years and bought memories back of my childhood. The rooms were lovely and homey. The... More

Stayed for a couple of nights and it was lovely. Very tidy, clean, comfortable rooms, scenic location and a warm, friendly host. What more could you need? Having to open the gates for the railway track was a bit of fun and added something different to our stay. Would liked to have had the opportunity to walk along the track... More

Lovely B&B in a lovely location. Booked here for the Stereophonics in Cardiff as the City was full and so glad we did. We asked could we leave the car early as we wanted to get into Cardiff and enjoy the day. Margaret had our room ready so a quick un-pack, a 20 minute walk along the River to Radyr... More

This was our second visit and once again we were not disappointed, took a party of friends for a private function and all were very impressed with Gelynis, and we fully intend to come again! It was so convenient for our needs and Margaret was more than helpful.

This is one of the higher standards of BnB you could find in the UK, both in accommodation and service. In fact, BnB’s are exceeding the quality of hotels these days because family run business means a personalised serviced, friendly and professional. You will get a very welcome from Margaret and, son Will. The rooms are quintessential English cottage, very... More
