The location is good if you like a bit of peace and quiet away from Swansea, the staff are really friendly especially the really welcoming cleaners! The breakfast is really tasty and has failed not to impress. The swimming pool and gym is a really nice touch and makes the stay at the hotel so much more enjoyable. Nice sized...

Decent hotel and good value. Hotel staff are really friendly and helpful. The location was ideal for what I was in the city to do, cllose enough to the facilities I needed and far enough to nice and quiet. I was lucky enough to get an upgrade and the room and the comfortable bed made the visit even more enjoyable.

Family room very good size. Double bed pull out single and double sofa bed. Very brown decor. Good standard for price we payed. Breakfast was good. Nice selection of cooked, cereal, fresh fruit and pastries. Pool was small but good for a play with the children. Over all for price we paid I was very impressed.

Thank goodness humanity comes to a corporate hotel. From chefs to waitress real people who nothing is to much trouble, they talk to you without all the regimented yes sir no sir, the food choice is not huge but for a Sunday dinner it is enough. Great value, great staff who are friendly and professional whilst talking to you as...

Dear 138makz, Thank you for your kind review, and I shall pass on your kind words to the staff, they are a great bunch, and yes we do give them free reign to be themselves, and as long as we get the recruitment right it generally works. Best regards

Mediocre in offer and structure, the hotel is in need of an overhaul. Bedrooms are dated, showing their age with stains and and older decor, the bathrooms are disappointing with a fixed height shower and fixtures. The restaurant and bar are to have an overhaul soon as currently they are soulless areas to be avoided. Food is OK but a...

Hotel is typical of many similar chain hotels up and down the country , ie - 20 years ago would have been lovely , but have obviously been run a shoe string budget and now in the need of a bit of TLC. We booked two rooms , one upstairs , one downstairs . They have refurbished upstairs recently -...

Dear tris-tris, Thank you for your review which was a good in depth appraisal of your stay. I will try and investigate as best I can who the bar person was that night as I agree with your comments fully; my team are paid to look after guests 24/7 x 365, and they can't have a bad day or grumpy...

Visited the Mercure twice recently, at Christmas and new year. The decoration was as befitted the time of year but it hid the underlying need for some much need TLC. The rooms are a good size and comfortable. The bed in particular was excellent although the bathroom was really dated. The breakfast was good and plentiful, and the staff helpful...

Hi Alan, Thanks for your review, traffic is normally only an issue from 5 till 5.30 each day if you are leaving the hotel, as traffic to get off the office park peaks at this point. However just before Xmas when you stayed, the normal traffic is compounded by Christmas shopping traffic as we have a big shopping centre and...
