The room didn’t match the pictures on the website (other people had said this but I presumed these were old reviews). The bathroom was awful, broken taps, cold water ran out as it’s an old house. Bathroom door didn’t shut, No fresh towels, awful carpet in the main landing. Light crept in at night from hall landing so it was always too bright and uncomfortable to sleep. The cleaner had done a good job on removing dust and tried to keep a decrepit room clean
I ignored the older reviews thinking the hotel had been refurbished in the last year. It has not and was in terrible condition. I would not recommend staying here, the facilities were appalling and did ruin our short stay.
I stayed in room 8, single en suite. The property and the room were spotlessly clean and the deco was very good. I think those giving bad reviews have the wrong place. Quiet room, away from the road, nice firm but comfortable bed and two lovely pillows. Great supply of tea, coffee and milk. It's really close to bus stops to the city centre and Rhossili (118). There are lots of shops, including a small Tesco and Sainsbury's plus restaurants within a couple of minutes walk. The use of a shared fridge and microwave was very welcome. Staff friendly. I will be going again.
We got the dates wrong with our booking, but Lynn managed to accommodate us, as a family of 4, anyway, on the spot. Lovely, characterful guest house in a bohemian area (Sketty) with some great and varied restaurants and bars within walking distance.
Came with a few friends unbeknown to how different the premises looks compared to many pictures posted in prior reviews. To our surprise booking this hotel was a serious mistake. I can’t quite comprehend how anyone could rate this hotel more than 2 stars. The room smelt horrible when we walked in. I would compare it to a mix of damp socks and p*ss. The iron had live copper showing which is a serious risk to anyone using it. We also found a woman’s hair clip stuck on the bed frame and a lovely opened contact lens packet underneath the ‘CLEAN’ towels. Speaking of the towels, one had a red/brown stain on it which is definitely what you want to see in the midst of a pandemic. I do also wonder if gruffalo stayed in the room before us as there was more strands of hair around the gaff than in a f*cking wig shop. In conclusion, stay as far away as possible x…
