My wife and I were only able to stay 1 night, but throughly enjoyed - and recommend - the River Mill. Aidan was on his own this night, but didn't disappoint! Checkin time was as arranged, the room spacious and very clean, car parking safe and secure - advice and suggestions regarding our travel appreciated and thoughtful. Very good option...

Aiden and Theresa were wonderful hosts. The location was stunning. The rooms were lovely. The breakfast was delicious. And we really enjoyed meeting them both. Tripadvisor is requiring that I write more before I can submit this review but really I think this covers it!

My daughter and I stayed here during our mini break to Downpatrick. Such a wonderful "find", the cottage has been renovated to very high standards, yet still has the cottage feel. Spotlessly clean throughout. Our host,Theresa, made us very welcome and provided delicious breakfasts. Bedrooms are very comfortable and the lounge and mezzanine area offer the perfect place to relax...

We stayed in this superbly converted watermill which is spacious , tranquil but utterly modern in its fittings and furnishings thanks to the obvious good taste of its owners Aidan and Theresa who had converted the ruined mill a few years ago and were justly proud of what they had achieved. Very quiet location away from any traffic and a...

Last week my wife and I had the pleasure of spending a night at the River Mill B&B. We had just left a farm b&b in Donegal so we were definitely in the rural mode. The River Mill B&B is only a few miles outside of Downpatrick (supposed burial place of Saint Patrick) and it indeed provided the serenity and...

I stayed at the River Mill over the bank holiday weekend for a wedding I was attending in Downpatrick. A friend also booked with me and the hosts were more than happy for us both to book in at the same time but check out on different days. The location is perfect for a city slicker to get a breath...

After several days on the road our two nights here were just what we needed--walks up and around Ballyclander Road (more of a lane than a road), excellent dinners at local restaurants, sheep, cows, and great breakfasts by Aiden. The rooms were comfortable and quiet and the building is very interesting with an interesting history. Theresa was away but Aiden...

We found this fab B&B on Trip advisor and are so glad we did. Such a wonderful warm welcome from Theresa and Aidan. Very clean, well appointed and very comfortable ground floor room with our own entrance so as to not disturb everyone when we came in later in the evening. Very quiet location with some beautiful surroundings. Extremely helpful...

We stayed one night. Theresa and Aidan are wonderful and hospital hosts. Theresa is a handy one - she made her own table and chairs! Aidan makes a great full Irish breakfast. They recommended a restaurant nearby for dinner that was just perfect. Our room was quiet, very clean, and comfortable. We really enjoyed touring Down County. Theresa and Aidan...

“We only saw one room but it was very large with a large wetroom. There was a side door which meant we could come and go without going through the main house which was very good. As the property has been completely renovated I would imagine all rooms would be similar.”
