I love dining at the Ferryhill, we have never had a bad meal yet, but we were disappointed on this recent visit because there weren't any pasta dishes with tomato based sauces available. The only pasta dish on the menu was macaroni cheese. My 5 year old grandson was quite disappointed that he couldn't have his pasta and tomato sauce....

Last minute decision to go out for a mid week treat. From the minute you go in till you leave you are treated like a special friend and nothing is too much effort. My partner chose the fish and chips and I had the coconut chicken curry. The very fresh haddock came in a crisp perfectly cooked light batter I...

The Ferryhill is located in a nice quiet residential area of Aberdeen, approx 15-20 minute walk to Union Street. The building is a nice old building with plenty of character. The parking at the hotel is limited, so we had to park on the street, which is metered, except for Sundays (free). The hotel is very nice, pleasant, well decorated,...

Very friendly place to eat with great service from staff. Nice relaxing area to sit and enjoy a drink once you had your food. Staff always attentive and never a rush to enjoy your food. Quick service and enjoyable.

Was at this restaurant. last weekend and had a lovely meal. Large menu, attentive staff and good quality food. The conservatory is a nice setting, bright and comfortable. Be sure you ask for it, upstairs is a bit chaotic. I had the roast beef which as melt in the mouth, served with all the trimmings...delicious. I would recommend this place....good quallity food...

Met with a friend for lunch. As you can see from the photos it's a lovely period house tucked away within its own compact grounds in the Ferryhill area. As a resident in Ferryhill I'm biased but it's a quiet, safe residential part of town with traditional Victorian granite houses and tree-lined streets. It's also just 10 minutes walk from...

Another stay at this great hotel. No matter how busy it is, the staff are so good at making sure that they don't appear rushed or harassed! Lovely clean room. Excellent menu for dinner and even with a party including children while the restaurant was busy, we were not rushed nor ignored. Main dishes always seem to be a bit...

Returning Customer as we stayed a few years ago as part of a winter weekend. It was great to see that the high standards of service remained throughout the hotel! Rooms have all been refurbished since our last visit and all to a high standard. We also had a meal in the hotel which was fantastic. Breakfast in the morning...

This is a lovely hotel, great food and attentive staff - we had smashing Sunday lunch there today and as always was excellent, we were seated originally beside a large baby shower party who cackled and shrieked their way through lunch, obviously good revenue for the hotel, not so great to be seated beside them, not a killjoy at all...

The Ferryhill is very popular and the reasons are apparent. A fabulous hotel in a great setting, with both a restaurant and a pub bar, with great food served in both. Staff are generally pleasant but the place would benefit from all local staff, not foreigners who spoil the experience of a Scottish hotel.
