Every detail was excellent, the staff were welcoming and friendly. It has a family feel, is a blend of modern and classic and every aspect is well executed. The environment is modern and the feel is classic. The food quality, choice and presentation - WOW. I was really impressed.

Enjoyed our afternoon tea here. Food was excellent and there was plenty of it. Despite the title afternoon tea I would expect to be offered coffee also. When we requested coffee it had to be made at a machine and brought to us by the cup, whereas a pot of coffee would be preferred by most. A small point I...

Really liked the hotel, lovely staff and decor was great. Well cared for and made to feel very welcome. Attention to detail was impressive too. Only negative was the room was quite small with the camp bed up for our son. We couldn't even walk round the bed.

Dear Pjbjamieson, Very nice review to read, and some welcome comments on our facilities and hotel staff. I regret that the fold out bed consumed a lot of the space in the room. I would always suggest that a request be made for a larger room in the event an additional bed is required. Best regards Alistair and the team...

The hotel was very good, clean rooms and a perfect service in general. Bad note on the restaurant... I am vegetarian and had a very bad experience there, I asked for a salad and a plate of cheese (like the one it is usually served as dessert). They gave me a salad with grilled cheese all together, the cheese was...

Dear pol614, I am so sorry that our restaurant and kitchen team could not deliver such a simple dish. I will not attempt to make any excuse for their actions. I hope though that you will try our restaurant element again as it truly is one of the best in Aberdeen. Thank you for the positive comment in regards the...

Changed a booking with 36 hours to go and still charged for the room. Desperate owners. Won't be staying here again in a hurry. Lots of choice in Aberdeen. Most hotels have cancellation policies that allow a certain level of flexibility. Chester's do not. Be aware.

Dear JohnandAnn2012, Having read your comments on Social Media, I can confirm that we do have a 24 hour cancellation policy and hence if you had given us 36 hours notice we would not have charged you. However, if you bought ADVANCE PURCHASE which is a discounted rate paid in advance then yes, you would have been charged at the...

My first visit to Aberdeen and I had no high expectations from the hotel as my experience with hotels in the UK is not great. I was pleasantly surprised from The Chester! Friendly staff, nice and modern design and clean! Even the shower head was clean from lime scale marks...👍🏼😀 The hotel is located a bit far from the city...

Excellent hotel! Very nice rooms with all facilities including minibar. Only comment is that the bathroom was a bit cold. Fantastic restaurant for both breakfast and dinner. Very popular bar with friendly staff both there and in reception. All of this very central in Aberdeen.
