Fish and chips was excellent. Service even better. Chicken slightly overcooked but quality of sauce and veg made up for it. Saw the steak pie, nice, but folks, get the fish and chips. Again the staff couldn't be nicer

Have been a visitor with family and friends over the 21 years I have lived in Carnoustie bateau pie is legendary and their Stovies recipe is s closely guarded secret - much to my English cousin's disappointment. Don't believe one bad review. This place is a fantastic place to stay and eat ......and there definately is NO dress code

A good old fashioned hotel with great staff, a great menu and a lovely atmosphere. Don't miss out on the fish and chips and steak pie. The locals love this place and we use it regularly to meet up. A good central location, close to the beach, park and the bike path along the coast.

Excellent, friendly family run hotel..it's just very pleasant and comfortable. I wonder if by "spa" Cher means.a quick run over the level crossing and into the sea? I didn't know they had a spa..where is it?

3 night stay here, very spacious room and wonderful cooked breakfast, staff always so kind. Cannot comment on the bar/restaurant as I eat out. For fifty pounds a night this was such good value, the room was cleaned every day and tea, coffee and biscuits was always replenished.

Took our 4 children and my parents here for high tea one Sunday and an excellent time was had by all. The kids loved the idea of toast to start, and a great selection of cakes and scones. The food was lovely and well enjoyed by all, very busy we had booked a table and would definitely recommend booking to...

This Hotel is family run and very friendly. The staff will do everything possible to make your stay memorable, including leaving bacon sandwiches in the kitchen fridge for early starts. Our room was clean , towels changed every day and a tea tray on hand. Not a modern hotel, as you can see from the name of the Hotel, it...

My husband and I stayed here for one night as we attended a function there. Our room was spacious and very clean . The bed was comfy and cosy. Nice clean bathroom with walk in shower. Friendly staff. An excellent breakfast cooked when ordered and served on hot plates. We would stay there again if in the area.

Popped in to find a very busy place for lunch on Saturday. Very helpful in accommodating us despite how busy they were. Fantastic value menu and very tasty. Excellent pint of beer and wished we had stayed here rather than the Golf Course Hotel!!
