Very welcoming hotel..We arrived to find we were the only two people staying at the hotel. lovely room with a wonderful view of campbelltown Loch. Sometimes this can be daunting ,when you are the only ones in the lounge and dining room, but not here.lovely music playing . No cut back on the menu choices . Full menu offered and it...

A lovely place to stay: I would happily return here. Roger and Lori are very friendly and helpful, and the hotel is homely and comfy. There are lots of photos, pictures and interesting objects around the hotel, plus warm, rich colours and high, original moulded ceilings. The sitting room is great: squashy sofas and high-backed chairs, with a wonderful view...

This was a charming welcoming hotel, owners and staff all very friendly and professional. Views from the hotel are outstanding and the location is perfect, just a short walk from the centre so quieter and more relaxing. I must disagree with anyone saying it wasn tired and cluttered. This somewhere in time decor was what really appealed to me. I...

I must disagree with the previous review. The Craigard may have a few faults (dated, cluttered and tired décor/furniture in the public areas, noisy pipes, scruffy grounds) but the service we received was excellent. Breakfast was brought forward to accommodate our need to leave early to play golf and the staff were warm and friendly. We were assisted with arranging...

The hotel was very conveniently situated for our trip and taking a stroll in front of the hotel provided some nice views but the rooms were rather old fashioned and tired and the bed was very uncomfortable! The owners were pleasant enough and spoke French (most of our group was French). There is a homely sitting room where some of...

Stayed here in August 2014. We had the family room which is at the front of the hotel. It has beautiful views of the bay. The room was exceptionally clean and welcoming. The hotel is quiet because of the location although it's only a short walk to the town. The beds were comfortable and provided a good night sleep. We would...

We had a first floor room at the front of the hotel - fantastic view out over the water. Built in 1882, the building has many interesting features and beautiful stained glass windows, but could do with some fabric maintenance. Breakfast and dinner were very good - quality, quantity and price. Close enough to the town to be easy to...

This was out first time we visited Campbeltown, after having spent almost a week out at Islay. We had no idea about what to expect. We had understood that there were few places that could offer accommodation. We chose the Craigard House Hotel. We did not have a room in the main building, We had booked a room with a...

This was my first trip to Campbeltown and I enjoyed the long drive and the scenic views. I called the hotel the previous day as had booked a few months ago and was checking that I had a ground floor quiet room as requested. I spoke to Roger on the phone and he confirmed my booking as being on the...
