A colleage and I stayed overnight at the Argyll Hotel during a golf trip to Campbeltown recently.
A great location situated next to the ocean with the dining room overlooking the inspiring setting of the Scottish coastline and the views to the islands opposite.

What an awesome place, with a warm welcome, lovely room and amazing breakfast next morning. Displays of local art for sale and what a view . . . I'd be very happy to recommend for business, pleasure, short or long break. Andy

Hi Elizabeth - we are very dog friendly and your dog would be welcome in all public areas of the hotel except the conservatory restaurant area - however, you can eat in the bar area with your dog. If the weather is good you can also eat outside on the beachside terrace. More details on our website. All the best Nick

It will be great to see / meet you. You are very welcome in the hotel. As you will know we are dog friendly and your dog is welcome in all areas of the hotel other than the restaurant area when we are serving food. You can however eat in the bar or out on the terrace (weather permitting!). If you want to eat it is always advisable to book (even if eating in the bar or outside). I'm really sorry I'm not well informed about other dog friendly places in the area - but there a re a wealth of beaches and good walks to be had. I know you can sit outside at the Ferry Farm tearoom in Taiynloan, by the Gigha ferry terminal. There is also outdoor seating at the Black Sheep pub (part of the Royal Hotel) with nice views across Campbeltown Loch.
All the best
