We stopped for a week in the Townhouse apartment, owned by the George.it is superb, spotlessly clean, well equipped and has stunning views of Loch Fyne. We visited the George daily, sometimes just for a drink in the friendly convivial bar, but often to eat. The food is simply outstanding, with the fresh very local seafood a revelation. All the...

This hotel is charming. We first visited over 20 years ago and were delighted that dogs were allowed even in the restaurant. The only exception being the conservatory. We stayed this time in the First house which is a separate building from the main hotel. Our room was huge with a fabulous freestanding bath and a working fireplace with logs...

We visited there last year and enjoyed it so made a special journey to visit again whilst we were in Scotland. At just under £10 each we ordered gammon and was looking forward to a juicy succulent piece of gammon with fat rind and all just as you would imagine a piece of gammon. However we were really disappointed. We...

Had an overnight stay here. It's a very old inn with loads of character. The room was spotless and had a lovely bath. Great atmosphere in the bar downstairs with lovely food. Slept very soundly with a big Scottish breakfast to start the day. I couldn't fault the hotel or the staff. I'll definitely return

We had lunch at this hotel on Saturday, which was very pleasant! The menu was varied with dishes that were slightly different! The decor of this hotel is very "old world " which adds to it's charm ! Staff were attentive and the service was fairly good, however the restaurant manager needs a few lessons on good " ol' fashioned...

After a beautiful sunny drive up from Glasgow this historic looking hotel offered great food , pleasant staff and reasonable prices. I went for the hand battered fish and chips with salad and it was outstanding crispy batter, real chip shop style chips and fresh crispy salad. I'll be back!

Stunning location, lovely rooms and delicious evening meals. The staff were all lovely and the rooms made us feel like royalty...we especially likes the hot tub jacuzzi! The only thing that lets this place down is the breakfast. Although it was ok it was not up to the evening meals standards. My partners Scottish breakfast was luke warm and I...

We had a very comfortable room in The First House, which is just across the cat park. All the buildings are very old, but all was clean and modern in the bedrooms. Excellent WiFi considering the thickness of the walls. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. A very central hotel in the village.
