Yet another excellent meal at the george. Atmosphere fantastic so much character to the place , onthe downs side the staff struggled to serve everyone and service was very slow. but the food made up for that.

My daughter and I were driving around the area and found this hotel with a lovely pub on a cold and rainy day. There we sat at a table near a beautiful fire and were served delicious cocktails promptly. The ambience is perfect; exactly what one wants from an authentic pub in Scotland-- old but perfectly maintained, clean, comfortable, friendly...

We stayed in the hotel on 11/7/15 for one night, we paid £150 for bed and breakfast which I thought quit pricey until we had the fortune to stay in room 34 in a delightful hotel. Good points 1, Great staff from start to finish in all areas of the hotel with nothing a bother. 2, Great local food, nothing...

Went to this hotel for lunch when passing through Inveraray and was not disappointed. The meals were large and very tasty with a special mention for the cauliflower soup which was delicious. The waitress was pleasant and the surroundings of the old public house style.

I have stayed at the George on at least 5 occasions, all on business and I have thoroughly enjoyed each time. The hotel is very quirky, the pub is set out in a traditional manner with stones floors, log fires and a big old bar. To top it all off, I have never had a bad meal, nor has the...

This hotel is one of the original buildings in Inverary, and retains much of it`s historic character. It is very comfortable, Staff very helpful and pleasant, perfect location in the village, popular with locals, very good restaurant and menu.

I have visited this hotel since the mid 70's when it was under the guiding hand of Donald Clark Snr; his son Kris has control of the premises now, and I still visit whenever I can. Great food, great beer, a friendly atmosphere at all times of the year and welcoming and efficient staff. That's the way I have found...

I stayed at the George in Room 6 on Sunday evening. I sampled the roast lamb lunch which was superb! I had a relaxing evening in the jacuzzi bath and slept really well in the big comfy bed. The room decor and tea/coffee facilities were excellent.

Food was good, nice atmosphere and great rustic interior. A little bit of miscommunication between staff which is easily forgiven as they are very nice. Not too keen on pets in restaurants but if you are a dog owner it would appear they are welcome here.
