Absolutely spotless, greeted by one of the owners when i arrived with all the info for my stay. Nothing was rushed, felt extremely well received. Offered advice for food in town. Breakfast was served to me via way of a basket left at my door, unfortunately i felt rather rough from an over indulgence of wine from the night before and didnt touch any of it. On checking out, i had a lovely conversation with the other owner. Incredibly polite and welcoming people.
Sometimes when you walk through the door of a hotel or guesthouse you just know it's welcoming and has that clean smell about it, this place is exactly that. We we're met by one of the owner who talked us through the place and surrounding are and were shown to our room which was spotlessly clean with crisp white sheets and plenty of natural light coming in. It's a 5 minute walk from town and has parking outside. Breakfast is served to your room in a little bucket which we loved and had a brilliant choice of food ranging from breakfast rolls with bacon or sausage, fresh fruit and yogurt and a lovely muffin to enjoy with your in room ready and coffee. Overall we stayed 3 nights and could've stay longer. Some well known hotels could do with taking a leaf out of the book from places like this.…
Greencourt Guest House is in a great location, although up a hill. The parking was bonus. The room was big enough with a double bed, wardrobe, dressing table and 2 small chairs. The bathroom was spacious and the shower was good. Due to restrictions breakfast was served in room. Michael brought it in a lidded bucket which consisted of a sausage or bacon roll, little bowl of fruit, yoghurt, pastry/muffin, a piece of fruit and a little bottle of orange juice. I thought this worked really well.
We stayed one night here during our tour of Scotland. It was lovely. The hosts were very welcoming and engaging. My wife has an interest in local historic family connections in the area and Jeanie was very helpful with links and places to research. The room was comfortable with good views of the harbour and warm. Breakfast is served in your room and presented in a safe and secure way using a basket. Fresh fruit, yoghurt, croissant bacon roll and fruit juice set us up for the day. Great care has been taken to ensure the house and rooms are clean and sanitiser is readily available throughout. It is only a short walk into town so very well placed. We will return and have no hesitation is recommending Greencourt as a great place to stay.
Delighted to have found this guest house Greeted with such a warm welcome during these strange times. Felt entirely sale. Clean and breakfast in a basket was delicious Thank you Our room was on the small side and the best not the most comfortable one I have slept in but so clean
