This location is within walking distance of everything in central Galashiels, and you can even hike out to Abbotsford (home of Sir Walter Scott) if you're up for a 5 mile or so roundtrip. The rooms are large and clean, but the baths, while en suite, are tiny and I wonder if large folks could fit in the shower. Even...

This is in a good location right in the centre. The facilities are very good and the breakfasts of a very good quality. A great host, pleasant and helpful. The room was comfortable but thicker curtains would be appreciated as we were woken up at 4.30 am with the light coming through. Other than that, a lovely b and b...

Lovely clean and comfortable rooms. Breakfast delicious and plenty of it. Very reasonable price for single or double occupancy. Anne is the perfect landlady! Always busy - so book early to avoid disappointment.

This was my first stay at Craigielea Guest House and it was booked by my business client for my stay, I was happy to find it was only a 10 minute walk from the bus station so ideal for those who rely on public transport. The room was nice with a good little working TV and nice big shower. The...

I cannot thank the owner of the...

We stayed for the rugby at Murrayfield and got the train into Edinburgh and back. The guest house location for this was ideal, as were the free teacakes! Rooms were clean, and the shower was nice and hot. The view out the window of our room across the valley was nice, and the owner kindly put back breakfast for a...

Central location. Warm reception on arrival. Very clean and comfortable en-suite room. Comfortable bed enabled great sleep. Excellent choice for breakfast - including good quality cooked breakfast. Hassle free - no complaints. Would return.

Galashiels has now been opened up for easy access by train. I used the new Borders railway on the first day of public service, which was my primary reason for visiting. I could have quickly returned whence I had come but I preferred to stay overnight to have a look around. Crailielea is very conveniently situated for the railway station...

Myself and my boyfriend stayed here for one night, as we were visiting friends in Galashiels. The room was great value for money, and the b&b is in a great location with everything in walking distance. After a late night out, it was lovely to come back to a nice, homely guest room and comfortable bed, and after a few...

Many thanks for a very comfortable stay when we were in the area last weekend. The welcome and hospitality was much appreciated. For the cyclist, the roads in the area are amongst the best we've ridden and still lots more to explore. The mountain biking is pretty good too!
