Very clean house.. I particularly enjoyed the company of the labradors ! Breakfast was good and bathroom shower facilities were great. Location was well signposted and nice walks to be enjoyed nearby especially for dog-walkers

We stayed at Brae Cottage for two nights. We were driving up from London with our four month old son, and our miniature schnauzer, so there were many stops required and we didn't arrive at Brae Cottage until late. Jane and Norman were extremely accommodating with our late arrival. The pros- The room was lovely. Spacious, modern and clean, complete... More

Brae Cottage is well sign-posted and easy to find. A lovely modern house very well fitted out and warm; The Latimers are excellent hosts and we enjoyed a very comfortable stay with them. Thoroughly recommend this accommodation. Have stayed there twice. Colin, Jane and Bran (our dog)

Jane and Norman offer excellent accommodation in a lovely setting midway between Hawick and Jedburgh. They are a welcoming couple who care about the service they offer. We had dinner on one evening and can confirm that the food was excellent. Highly recommended.

We endorse all of the previous positive comments. We booked for 4 nights, and stayed an extra night as we liked it so much. We would like to add that: Norman is full of interesting and humorous anecdotes, but without being intrusive. Jane, as well as being an excellent cook, appears to be a fully qualified mind reader. Whatever you... More

It is always pleasant for us when people take the time and trouble to post their comments. Thank you. After a busy summer here at Brae Cottage things are beginning to slow down as Autumn settles in. We are just hoping that the winter this year is as mild as it has been for the last two years More
