Superb food and service in relaxed friendly surroundings. Nothing was too much trouble. We stayed for a wedding they let us leave our caravan at the back of the hotel and even arranged for someone to look after our dog while we were at tbe weddding. Service and food was brilliant but reasonably priced. I stay in a lot of...

We took my Mum here for Mother's Day. It was really lovely, the food was delicious, enormous portions so we asked for a half portion for Mum because she is in her 80's and can only eat small amounts. They made a great effort to accommodate this and the fact she can't have dairy. The staff were really helpful and...

We booked this for a family meal after a funeral. Amazing food and a really friendly waitress made it a nice occasion after a difficult day. I had chicken breast stuffed with haggis and it was amazing. The hotel sits in a beautiful location. We all enjoyed it and we will come back when we are next in the area.

Stayed on the special deal for 3 nights including a full Scottish breakfast each day. Weather was well...wet but the hotel is really nice and well decorated with period features. The bar is well stocked and the staff are all friendly and welcoming; even Basil the parrot. I used to visit here as a kid so brings back some good...

By an absolute mile the best soup I've ever eaten in my 23 years! It was actually my girlfriend's order but it enticed me so I took it for myself when she was at the toilet! Would recommend ☺ Definitely coming back!

This is not a modern building but it is full of character, the rooms are spacious and well kept though could do with a fresh coat of paint in places. The staff are superb, friendly and very helpful. The food is excellent. The situation is also spot on with immediate access to some great walking, a NNR and plenty of...

We stayed two nights at the hotel with our two sons. Mabie forest on the doorstep for cycling and walking and we stayed in lovely big room overlooking the garden to the front and had a separate lounge which was a bonus. Comforting food and a toasty dining room with fire on the go. Really pleasant helpful staff - a...
