Pleasant, friendly welcome, well decorated room and very quiet. An attractive double fronted Georgian building on a side street close to the town centre. Good breakfast and a fair price plus we enjoyed the town, and the nearby town of Wigtown.

We needed B&B accommodation so we could attend a 3-day friends and family get-together for New Year. We found The Bay Tree through an internet site. I couldn't thank the owners Geraldine and Joe enough for their hospitality, professionalism, standard of cleanliness and hygiene, facilities, and breakfasts! All were outstanding. The house is fascinating - respectfully modernised retaining many period...

Came down to this part of Scotland from Edinburgh for a couple of day late and stayed one night in Baytree house. We had a very warm welcome from the owners when we arrived. We were in room 4 which looked out on to the garden. The room was very comfortable and the shower was great. Really nice breakfast too....

We had a delightful one night stay at Baytree House. Most welcoming hosts, comfortable bedroom and exceptional breakfast. Everything thought of...especially liked the fresh milk in the mini-fridge and guest drawing room which we made full use of. Many thanks and we will definitely be making a return visit!

One night stay with friends. Very friendly owners, who went out of their way to ensure we had all we needed, including our very early start. Room was very pleasant and comfortable with some nice touches (sherry!) A really nice place to stay.

We arrived in two groups of two for a sporting event in Glentrool. We therefore arrived quite late and left very early for the event. We got an incredibly friendly reception at Baytree, who really couldn't do enough for us. The rooms were really comfortable, with good amenities and even a complementary glass of sherry each :-) We had a...
