I regularly shuttle up and down between the South East and Central Scotland and I've tried all sorts of variations to break the journey, when I can't face doing it all in one go ... and hurrah, I think I've found the answer. Moffat has a good deal going for it in terms of convenience and choices of places to...

Visited here on a Thursday night, we ate in the bar . I thought the food was good and reasonably priced. The was an open mic night, and I have to say they were all brilliant! I will definitely return the next time I'm in Moffat.

My wife and I are residents in Moffat and have been regular customers of the Annandale Arms eating there approximately once per month. Generally the food has been good and we have never had cause to complain until approx two weeks ago when we both ordered the special minted lamb pie. This was very poor quality, and the "meat" was...

Nice place to stay the staff were excellent, the room was clean and fresh, it was very quiet the night we stayed so no noise problems. We ate in the hotel restaurant at night but, we were the only people in there all night.

Very friendly place, extremely clean throughout hotel. Staff very amenable, both on the phone ahead of the visit and whilst there. They even managed to amend the days of our visits the week before we went. Bedroom was roomy and the bed was very comfortable. Took us a while to find the wardrobe - it was in the ensuite bathroom...

Visited this hotel on Sunday night after traveling south from Skye. Moffat is an ideal location to break up your journey and only a mile from the motorway with plenty of places to eat and sleep ( try Claudio's). The Annandale is situated on the main road on the left. There is an alleyway immediately to the left of the...
